practice is focused upon the resolution of commercial disputes, including banking and
fraud recovery, creditors' remedies, commercial leasing, investment and shareholder
disputes and the enforcement of judgments.

Hunter has an active Provincial Court and Supreme Court practice, where he has
successfully represented clients in a range of commercial disputes. Hunter also assists
senior counsel on complex commercial matters in the Supreme Court of British
Columbia and in arbitration proceedings.
REPRESENTATIVE WORK

Conducted trials as lead counsel in the Provincial Court of British
Columbia on a variety of matters, including: banking, commercial leasing,
product liability, negligence and contractual claims.

Successfully prosecuted a Bills of Exchange trial as lead counsel in
Provincial Court on behalf of a financial institution.

Successfully defended a product liability claim at trial as lead counsel on
behalf of a building-products manufacturer in Provincial Court.

Successfully obtained summary dismissal of a number of claims for
financial institutions in Provincial Court.

Successfully set aside a wrongfully-entered consent to judgment as lead
counsel in Supreme Court.

Junior counsel on a successful summary trial application in Supreme
Court that upheld the enforceability of an account verification clause in a
business banking agreement on behalf of a financial institution (D2
Contracting v. The Bank of Nova Scotia, 2015 BCSC 1634).

Junior counsel on the prosecution and defence of various oppression
remedy claims brought under corporate legislation.

Junior counsel on various real estate investment disputes.
