The true story of one mother’s search for her
lost son. Falling pregnant as a teenager in
Ireland in 1952, Philomena was sent to the
convent of Roscrea to be looked after as a
“fallen woman”. When her baby was only a
toddler, he was taken away by the nuns for
adoption in America. Philomena spent the
next fifty years searching for him.
When there's a full moon over Brooklyn,
anything can happen, and everything
happens in the neighbourhood where
widowed bookkeeper Loretta Castorini lives.
Moonstruck won three Oscars.

pianist and holocaust survivor. She died at
110 years old on February 23, 2014.
In this short documentary, she discusses the
importance of music, laughter and a positive
attitude.

find themselves on death row together and
fight for the fame that will keep them from the
gallows.

Marshland) (1999)

A nostalgic drama about life among a group
of friends who live in Marais, on the banks of
the Loire river. Riton has a bad-tempered
wife and three unruly children. Garris lives
alone with his recollections of World War I.
Their daily life consists of seasonal work and
visits from Tane, the local train conductor and
Amédée, a dreamer and reader of classics.

April Burns, the eldest daughter in a highly
dysfunctional family, lives in a small tenement
apartment with her boyfriend Bobby.
Although estranged from her family, she
invites them for Thanksgiving dinner. With the
help of neighbours, April manages to
assemble dinner, while learning to appreciate
the importance of family and friends.

The true story of Christy Brown, an Irishman
born with cerebral palsy into a poor, workingclass family. Although he could control only
his left foot, he became a writer and artist.
Day-Lewis and Fricker both won Oscars.

Anthony.

province afin d’en remettre une partie sous la
gouverne de la communauté.

faisant découvre la valeur de la famille et des
amis.
