RÉSUMÉ DES FONCTIONS
Assurer l’essor continu d’un programme très compétitif, tout en créant un milieu propice au développement global
des étudiants-athlètes. Voir à l'entraînement, au recrutement, à l’administration et à la gestion financière dans le
cadre du programme. Collaborer à la planification d’activités et de projets d’autofinancement. Entretenir des
relations avec les médias, les anciens et les diverses communautés, internes et externes.
QUALITÉS ESSENTIELLES
1. Diplôme universitaire ou l'équivalent
2. Connaissances techniques approfondies du sport acquise au moyen d’une expérience pertinente
3. Expérience d’entraînement à un niveau hautement compétitif
4. Certificat de niveau III PNCE ou l'équivalent
5. Expérience dans l’organisation et la gestion de programmes sportifs
6. Habileté à adopter les valeurs et normes d’excellence de l’université et de sa mission d’offrir une éducation de
première qualité
7. Bilinguisme (expression orale et écrite) serait un atout

1. Contrat d'un an avec avantages sociaux (à noter que la période de probation est d'un an ou douze mois)
2. Ce poste exige la disponibilité de travailler en dehors des heures régulières de travail (en soirée et fin de
semaine)

JOB SUMMARY
Provides leadership for the ongoing development of a highly competitive program while creating an environment
that is conductive to the holistic development of student athletes. Takes responsibility for the coaching, recruiting,
and the administration of the program. Works collaboratively in organizing fund raising activities. Develops
community relations by working with the media, the alumni and the larger Basketball community.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

University degree or equivalent
Knowledge and strong technical background of the sport acquired through practical experience
Experience in coaching at a highly competitive level
Level III NCCP certification or equivalent
Experience organizing and managing all program components with positive results
Ability to share the values that are consistent with the high standards of the University of Ottawa, and its
mission to provide quality education
Bilingualism (spoken and written) would be an asset
NOTES:
1. One year contract with benefits (note that there is a one-year or twelve-months probation period related to
this position)
2. This position requires working outside of regular office hours such as weekends and evenings
