travelling and accommodation in Rabat.
Rabat
Administrative and political capital of Morocco, Rabat is a modern city with wide avenues
planted with palm trees, home of the jewels of Islamic architecture: the Hassan Tower, the
Kasbah of Oudayas, the Chellah. It also houses the largest university in the country.
How to get to Rabat
Attention, a visa may be required to enter the Moroccan territory
check the visa requirements in the Moroccan embassy in your country
Rabat has its own airport Rabat-Salé, but for international connections we recommend the
Mohammed V airport in Casablanca, a little further from Rabat. Mohammed V airport is
served by most airlines.
● From the Mohammed V Airport:
The airport is located about 35 km from Casablanca city center.
By train: It is the most advised way for traveling. The train station is located at the first
basement level of the building. You will get to Casablanca within half an hour (Ain Sebaa or
Casa Voyageur train station). The best way is to take Ain Sebaa connection in order to cross
the TNR coming from Casa-Port), then you will have to take a train to Rabat (one more hour
traveling) with a total cost of 100 MAD. Attention, the last train is at 22:00. For more
information visit www.oncf.ma
By bus: The bus company CTM assures a regular circuit between the airport and the center of
the Casablanca city (travel duration: around one hour). More information is available via tel:
+212(0)522 361 304.
By taxi: Taxis service has the advantage of functionning 24/7, however, you will have to fix
the price with the driver, negotiating it, if necessary. (1h30 - Price from 200 to 600 MAD)
● From the Rabat-Salé Airport :
Rabat-Salé Airport is located at 10km in the North-East of Rabat on Meknes road. There is no
