Riesling ‘Memorista’, John House Ovum, Willamette Valley, Oregon, USA
2014
£68
The philosophy is to let the terroir speak for itself. In plain English, that means allowing the natural environment in
which the vines grow and thrive show through in the finished wine. The Memorista Riesling had bold aromas of lemon
and yeast. In the mouth it is such a full mouthfeel! It taste of lemons, pink grapefruit and sweet tarts with just a hint of
residual sugar on the finish. Try this Riesling instead of a Chardonnay with your next meal. If you haven’t yet
discovered that Rieslings are maybe the most compatible wine with food, you might after trying this one!
234
Condrieu ‘Les Vallins’, Viognier, Christophe Blanc Rhône Valley, France
2014
£95
Christophe Blanc produces one of the best Condrieu, deep and layered. It offers flavors of tangerine, peach, apricot,
white flowers and lychee. A classic Condrieu which preserved a lot of honey notes and has beautiful aromatics, plenty
of texture and a clean finish.
196
Pouilly Fumé « Silex », Didier Dagueneau, Loire Valley, France
2010
£210
The ‘Haute Couture’ of the Loire valley, or simply the best some would say! This wine demonstrates the finesse of
available, but rarely seen, in a Sauvignon Blanc. Silex means “flint” in French, which is predominately found in the soil
from where the wine hails. Lemon, white peach, slate. Crisp but rich in the mouth, a real treat.
Red Wine
1430
Lalama, Dominio do Bibei, Mencia, Ribeira Sacra, Galicia, Spain
2012
£65
Made from low-yielding Mencía - with 10 per cent from Garnacha, Brancellao and Mouraton, this is a top class Spanish
wine reflecting the high potential of the North West peninsula.
Like an illegitimate liaison between the Burgundy and the Northern Rhône; it's all fluid raspberry and redcurrant
succulence bound by velvet tannins with crunchy, juicy freshness, red fruits, violet, smoky minerals and peppery spices,
with a hint of blood orange in the background. Concentrated, offering black raspberry and bitter cherry flavors.
1701
Pinot Noir, Mornington Peninsula, William Downie, Victoria, Australia
2015
£130
Bill Downie established his own label in 2003 after several years living and working in Burgundy. Bill is fanatical about
the quality of his fruit and where it comes from, so where possible, sources fruit from vineyards which use biodymanic
and organic viticultural practices. This is a very complex Pinot nose. Raspberry, cranberry and blood plums with
violets, lavender and undergrowth. Very precise, detailed and distinctly Mornington Peninsula. The palate has sweet
red fruits and some subtle oak derived spice. Textured, fine and long with crisp, noticeable acidity.
1355
Cepparello, Isole e Olena, Paolo de Marchi, Sangiovese, Tuscany, Italy
2006
£180
The Super Toscan Cepparello is Isole e Olena's flagship wine. It is made exclusively from Sangiovese grapes that are
hand-picked from the best sites on the estate’s vineyards. Bright ruby red. The nose shows aromas of red fruits and
cherries along with a touch of spice from the well-judged use of French oak. The palate opens to ripe fruit and the
well-balanced structure as well as elegant, soft tannins and a persistent finish.

Frank Cornelissen, Mt.Etna, Sicilia
We are delighted to present a collection of Frank Cornelissen’s Etna North Valley wines, including his rare, epic
Magma Rosso. The wines are so effortlessly, stunningly pale yet powerful, burgundian and beautiful to boot. On North
facing terraces of volcanic grit, between 500 and 1100 metres, Frank asks miniscule yields of his Nerello Mascalese
ungrafted vines. He works without any chemicals, additives, preservatives or processing, fining or filtering of any kind.
