YOUR WEDDING
CALENDAR *
POUR VOUS GUIDER JUSQU’AU GRAND JOUR !
ONE YEAR OUT
Book & do the menu tasting of your wedding with
the hotel/caterer.
Order the beverages (alcoholic & alcohol-free, if
your wedding is not held at a hotel or if you are
providing these yourself via relatives).
D-DAY -11 MONTHS
Start preparing the religious ceremony
(appointments with the priest, texts, songs, homily
etc…).
Post your wedding announcements and
invitations.
Book the different vendors you will have chosen
with deposit payments.
Book the limousine (if you are renting one).
Drop your Wedding List at the store of your choice
(see list below).
Choose your wedding type and format (theme,
packages etc…)
Determine your budget, define who will pay for
what in the families and allow a 20% margin for
possible additional unexpected costs.
Establish a first draft list of the number of guests
you would like to invite.
Start prospecting venues and book the one that
will suit you best; do this quickly, especially if you
have chosen to get married in the Summer time
(as the best venues get booked out first) !
D-DAY -10 MONTHS
Contact the religious authorities so to set up a first
appointment with the priest/minister/pastor who
will be celebrating the ceremony, and define the
time of the latter.
Set up an appointment at the City Hall so to
determine the date & time of the civil ceremony.
Bear in mind that in France this ceremony has to
take place before the religious one.
D-DAY -8 MONTHS
Start gathering the different estimates of vendors
(wedding announcement, music, dance, food,
beverage, decoration etc.).
Let your close family informally know about your
wedding…
D-DAY -6 MONTHS
Choose & fit your wedding gown, as well as the
accessories.
Choose the DJ, the band, the photographer, the
florist etc… Order the wedding announcements.
Don’t forget to choose your groomsmen!
D-DAY -5 MONTHS
Establish your precise guest list.
Gather all the necessary documents for both the
civil and religious ceremonies.

D-DAY -4 MONTHS
D-DAY -3 MONTHS
Choose and buy (or rent) the groom’s outfit.
Choose the outfits of the « flower girls » and
contact their parents.
Conclude the administrative required procedures
and formalities (birth certificate, premarital medical
certificate…) and hand the file at the City Hall.
Remember : you have to hand it out at least 11
working days prior to the wedding date).
Order the wedding rings (allow enough time for
the engravings if required).
D-DAY -2 MONTHS
Choose your menu with the hotel (or Caterer).
Determine the decoration and flower
enhancements of the venue.
Book your Honeymoon trip.
Book your hairdressing, make-up, manicure and
pedicure appointments (see our “Mise en Beauté”
Spa package offered at the hotel).
D-DAY -6 WEEKS
Make sure to contact all vendors and reconfirm all
details with them.
D-DAY -4 WEEKS
Order the different wedding gifts/amenities you
will be giving away to your guests (Ex : French
sugared almonds, small chocolate boxes etc...).
Hand the file at the City Hall if you have not yet
done this.
Start working on your seating chart.
Test your hairdo and make up and reconfirm your
appointments for D-Day.
Determine the sequence for the religious
ceremony.
D-DAY -2 WEEKS
Order the flowers and the decoration of the venue
as well as the church’s. Don’t forget your bridal
bouquet !
Place an ad in the press if you wish.
Think of your marriage contract if you require one.
Start posting your thank you notes for the wedding
gifts you have started to receive.
Fit your wedding dress one last time.
Don’t forget your bachelor party!
D-DAY -1 WEEK
Go & get your fitted wedding rings.
Reconfirm the arrival times and exact roles of
each of the vendors.
Check the seating chart according to last minute
updates and changes (cancellations, additions
etc…).
THE DAY BEFORE
Prepare all the outfits and make sure nothing is
missing. Get the limousine from the car dealer.
Gather all necessary documents.
D-DAY
Enjoy your day, make the most of it, spend time
with your family and friends and have fun!
