Parce que j’ai été invité à présider le jury des prix MDesign du Mondial de la bière de
Montréal, j’ai eu la chance de rencontrer des gens très sympathiques et très festifs.
Parmi ces gens, je salue d’abord Nancy Rossi qui a organisé le concours ainsi que
mes collègues membres du jury Ron Hansen (USA), Andrea Casmaschella (Italie).
Nous avons donné plusieurs prix, mais notre coup de coeur champion prix platine toute
catégorie a été remis la la magnifique brasserie Ontariène Beau’s Brewing pour
l’excellence de son design. Tous les honneurs ont donc été au sympathique designer
de Beau’s Jordan Bamforth.

Le prix platine
Le jury tient à saluer l’excellence du travail de design de la brasserie Beau’s All Natural
Brewing Co. La qualité du graphisme et l’attention portée aux illustrations est
exceptionnelle. Par ses emballages, la brasserie Beau’s est un parfait exemple
d’étiquettes qui savent raconter des histoires. Une grille et un système graphique
rigoureux accompagné d’illustrations de qualité variées permettent d’apprécier chaque
produit spécifiquement, mais aussi toute une gamme variée et ludique.

Because I was asked to chair the jury prices MDesign World beer Montreal, I had the
chance to meet some very nice and very festive people. Among these people Nancy
Rossi who organized the competition, and my fellow jury Ron Hansen (USA), Andrea
Casmaschella (Italy). We have given several awards, but our favourite champion
Platinum Award category was awarded to the Ontarian brewery Beau's Brewing for the
excellence of its design. Many honours went to Beau's friendly designer Jordan
Bamforth.

The Platinum price
The jury is proud to give the platinum price to Beau’s All Natural Brewing Co. We were
impressed by the quality of the design and the illustrations. With its bottles, Beau’s is a
perfect example of label story telling. A rigorous typography and good information
design along with large variety of fun illustrations allows to appreciate each separate
product but within a strong and cohesive series.
