This product shall be installed exclusively as indoors wall decoration. It cannot be installed in damp or in industrial areas. Please follow carefully our recommendations.
RECOMMANDATIONS GÉNÉRALES
Dans une cuisine, le produit doit être placé à 30 cm de la flamme. Pas de contact direct avec les ustensiles très chauds. Une exposition constante
à une température supérieure à 50°C peut entraîner une légère évolution de la teinte sur plusieurs années.
GENERAL RECOMMENDATIONS
In a kitchen, the tiles should be fixed 12” (30 cm) from the flames on a gas range and should not come into direct contact with very hot utensils. Continuous exposure to
temperatures higher than 122 °F (50°C) over an extended period (i.e. several years) may result in a minor change in shading.
PRÉPARATION DU MUR
La surface doit être propre, sèche, saine et parfaitement plane. Se référer aux normes en vigueur (DTU)
SURFACE PREPARATION
Background preparation should be carried out in the same manner as for ceramic tiles. The surface should be clean, dry and absolutely flat. Please note: When fixing to
existing tiles a cement-based adhesive must be used. Ensure that the adhesive is fully dry before applying grout.
DÉCOUPE et PERCAGE
La découpe ou le perçage sont fortement déconseillés. En cas d’obligation faites appel un spécialiste du verre.
CUTTING AND DRILLING
Cutting and drilling are strongly advised against. If unavoidable, ask advice from a glass specialist.
COLLAGE
Les carreaux en verre doivent être collés avec un mastic colle silicone transparent universel sans acétate. Ne pas utiliser de mortier colle à carrelage. Le silicone
doit être appliqué à l’aide du pistolet manuel en bandes parallèles à intervalles égaux. Il convient ensuite de presser uniformément le carreau contre le mur. La
couche de colle doit être entrecoupée par des fentes étroites, permettant un séchage correct. Appliquer la quantité la plus petite requise de colle. Une couche trop
épaisse empêche également son séchage.
FIXING
Glass tiles need to be fixed with clear silicone acetate free adhesive. Do not use tiling grout. Silicone must be applied using a manual caulk gun in parallel stripes at
regular intervals. Then apply even pressure on the tile when fixing it to the wall. Thin spaces must remain between adhesive stripes to allow them to dry properly. Avoid
using too much adhesive as this would prevent the adhesive from drying.
JOINTS
Le chantier ne doit pas être laissé plus de 5 jours sans finir le jointoiement. Joint minimum de 2 mm doit être fait entre les carreaux. Utiliser un
joint silicone ou époxy en cas d’utilisation en projection d’eau. Respecter le temps de séchage des colles préconisées par le fabricant avant
jointoiement. Veiller à bien remplir le fond des joints car les vides dans les joints sont visibles depuis la face avant et inesthétiques. Pour les
mêmes raisons utiliser un joint de teinte proche.
GROUTING
Work must not be left unfinished beyond five days. There must be a joint width of least 1/16”( 2 mm) between the tiles. Use silicone or epoxy sealer if the area will be
subject to water splashes. Observe the recommended adhesive drying time before grouting. Ensure that the bases of the joints are completely filled. Insufficient
grouting will result in a poor aesthetic – any voids will be visible from the visible side of the glass tile. Accordingly, use coloured grouts matching the tiles colours.
NETTOYAGE
Nettoyer à l’aide d’un chiffon propre et doux et d’un produit de nettoyage habituel pour le verre. Pour les parties difficiles, utiliser des produits
de nettoyage récurants et non abrasifs. Ne pas nettoyer au jet d’eau haute pression.
CLEANING
Clean using a clean, soft cloth and a standard glass-cleaning product. For tough stains, a non-abrasive household cleaning product can be used. Do not clean with a high
pressure water spray.
RÉCLAMATION
Malgré tout le soin apporté, de très légères différences de teinte ou de texture peuvent apparaitre entre deux
productions .Par conséquent, s‘assurer que la quantité commandée est suffisante à la réalisation d’un même chantier.
Il n’est pas possible de garantir exactement la même tonalité pour des livraisons de complément.
CLAIM
Despite all the care taken with our products, there may be very slight difference in shade or texture between two production runs or two ranges. Once the tiles are
installed we accept no responsibility for any discrepancy in shading. It is the responsibility of the buyer to check all products before installation. Fixing is considered
acceptance of quality and design. Please ensure that you have enough tiles to complete the job before installation, later batches may differ in shading.
