sinon eux-autres vont s’en mêler Syndicat de l’enseignement de la région du Fer - CSQ june 2014 Rédaction : Brigitte Allard, Janine Hould, Monica Chiasson, Sophie Moulin That’s it! In a few weeks, another school year will draw to an end...a year full of big and small successes. In this satisfied state of mind, you will soon be able to begin your vacation...a well deserved rest. Enjoy each moment to gain back the energy level needed for next year while taking time for yourself…We’re looking forward to the fall where we will once again write another lovely chapter in your career in the field of education. Have a great summer! Janine Hould, President Negotiations Vacation…finally! It’s what many of us will say on June 25th. We need a little sun to get our required dose of Vitamin D in order to come back rested and tanned in the fall. I hope you have a great time with family and friends. Maybe we’ll run into each other at the dairy bar… Monica Chiasson, Vice-president The consultations by sector are now completed. Thank you for your participation. Your priorities have been sent to our negotiation teams who are working on our final demands. These will be presented to us in September so that we may give them to the government in late October. As for inter-sector consultations, concerning mainly demands related to salary, there has been a Common Front agreement that will be presented to you this fall for your approval. Everything should be finalized for September 15. L’école a besoin de soutien! The appreciation campaign for school support staff has begun. The employer then has 20 working days to give a written response to the union. Once this delay has expired, if the answer was unsatisfactory or if there was no reply from the employer, the union has 30 work days to submit a grievance to arbitration. The Bailiff declares having received the grievance and sends a copy to the union. Once these procedures have run their course, the grievance becomes official. The union or the employer can request that the grievance be heard by an arbitrator. It must be noted that not all grievances will be necessarily heard by an arbitrator. For the 2013-2014 school year (17) grievances have been deposited for arbitration 5 related to the abolition of posts 1 for declaration of posts in direct services to students 2 for the Interior Gross Product clause 5 for disciplinary measures 2 for refusal if Invalid Status 1 for intimidation 1 for claim of tenure (this grievance was settled before being heard by an arbitrator) I take this opportunity to wish you all a nice summer and hope that you will take this time to get revitalized. Looking forward to meeting you next fall! Brigitte Allard, Support staff councillor Union Delegates Prenez note que le bureau sera fermé du 30 juin au 10 aout 2014.
