Carpal tunnel syndrome is related to compression of the wrist’s median nerve. The
annual incidence varies from 1 to 3 cases
per 1000 subjects and the prevalence is 3 to
5 cases per 100 people. Its frequency peaks

WHAT IS A SPRAIN?
There are around 2.2 million ankle sprains in
France every year, i.e. the equivalent of 6000 per
day.
In 20% of cases, a sprain causes residual effects,
instability or chronic pain.
A mild sprain is caused by stretching of the ligaments, a moderate sprain by elongation of the
ligaments and a severe sprain by partial or total
tearing of the ligaments.
99% of isolated ankle sprains involve stretching,
elongation or tearing of the lateral collateral
ligament (LCL).
Initial treatment from D0 to D2 or D3, is based on
the RICE protocol:

HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT FORM'IT® ?
Form'it® is a “low-temperature” heat-mouldable
material. It can be worked with dry or moist heat at
approximately 70°C. The basic material has a combination of plastic and elastic properties, depending
on the models. It is these properties that define the
different ranges on the basis of their resistance to
stretching.
Form'it® 02 is very mouldable and is used for preshaped splints.
Form'it® 04 and 05 are used for pre-cut splints and
splints for the wrist, elbow, hand, etc.
Form'it® 07 and 08 are used exclusively for larger
devices, such as corsets, or for the lower limbs. They
need a lot of force to be worked.
The Form'it® range includes:
 Pre-shaped splints (Form'it® 02), pre-cut splints
(Form'it 04) and plates.

 Form'it® exists in several thicknesses (1.6 mm and
3.2 mm), with several types of perforations: 1%, 2.5%,
42%, non-perforated.
