Associé à will, le verbe n’est pas conjugué.

Négation: sujet + won’t + BV
Question: Will + sujet + BV ?

Permet de parler de ce que qqn pense que
qqn / qqch fera ou non.
Dans ce cas, [think] se conjugue au
présent simple donc attention à la
c o nju g a is o n .
Si on pense que qqch n’arrivera pas on ne
met qu’une seule négation dans la phrase.
La négation sera soit dans la 1ère
proposition, soit dans la 2ème.

he hopes he will make a lot of money. He
hopes he won’t work with Needles.
Marty and Jennifer hope they will get
married but they hope they won’t have four
children.

Permet de parler de ce que qqn espère que
qqn / qqch fera ou non.

out of school. Quite the contrary! She is
going to do after school tutoring.

Yes, they are. They are going to stop
playing video games but they are not going
to do their homework. They are not that
serious!
be (conjugué) going to + BV permet de parler
des projets de qqn, de ce qu’il a l’intention
de faire.
Affirmation: sujet + be going to + BV
Négation: sujet + be + not + going to + BV
Question: be + sujet + going to + BV?
be going to + BV permet aussi de faire une
déduction à partir des éléments que l’on
possède au moment où l’on parle. Il y a
des nuages => il va pleuvoir (it is going to rain).
