Dans le plus simple appareil… L’expression
puise dans le mot latin apparere, préparer,
qui a mené à l’« apparence ». Cette
explication rend limpide la formule
référant à la nudité de l’homme —
chacun sachant que le nuvite ne met pas
beaucoup de temps à se préparer —, mais
ne s’applique nullement à l’appareil, à
l’objet, au machin, pour lequel c’est tout
le contraire qui prévaut. Plus l’objet est
simple, plus il met de temps à être achevé.

La jeune société britannique Minimalux, le nom le dit, a tracé sa voie
créative sur la base du dépouillement, d’une sobriété ne reposant pas tant
sur la dépossession que sur la célébration de l’élémentaire. La marque,
qui s’était jusqu’ici exprimée à travers un éventail d’accessoires, a
effectué un tournant au printemps dernier avec le lancement de la collection joaillière Zero, comme dans zéro ornement. Construite et polie à la
main sur le site de Hatton Garden, Londres, la forme platonique en argent
sterling, en or 18 carats, en platine ou en or blanc devient ici bague,
bracelet et pendentif.
As the name suggests, the young British company Minimalux has
staked out its creative path with a purity and starkness that originates in the celebration of the elementary rather than in the absence of
possessions. Initially defining its brand through a fine range of home
accessories, the company reached a turning point in spring when it
launched the Zero jewellery collection, as in “zero ornamentation.”
The pure form in sterling silver, 18-carat gold, platinum or white gold
becomes a ring, bangle and pendant, hand crafted and polished in
