Welcome to the village of Windy Bottom. The inhabitants of the village are very unhappy. The giant who lives up in Kate Goddard David Howard Fran Walker Director Producer Assistant Producer Cloudland has taken all their money and most of their food. His repulsive henchman is making matters worse by terrorising everyone in the village, including the only animal left, Jack’s cow. Come along and with your help we’ll see if the people of Windy Bottom can defeat the Giant! So enjoy the dancing; laugh at the slapstick and jokes; be wowed by the colourful characters and settings; clap along to the songs; and be sure to boo at the baddie and cheer for the goodies. As ever, we thank everyone involved in making this show come to life; and a special thanks goes to you, our audience, for your continued and enthusiastic support. We couldn’t do it without you - “Oh no we couldn’t!” Off up the beanstalk we go... C’est parti , en route pour le haricot magique ... 5 The Cast Jack TrottSara Londono Princess LucindaEleanor Robson Dame Lilly TrottRoger Mole Silly WillySam Dawson Pat The CowLaura Londono Nicole Longmore SlimeballMartin Walker Fairy DoreenKaren Dawson JillJuliette Boniau-Raymond GrannyJulie Baldwin King RupertRichard Baldwin SmithersPete Ewens Bailiff BurkNathan Dawson Bailiff HairFerdinand Fehring GiantThomas Longmore Mrs MoppClare Knox HarpJanet Simpson ChickenBen Smart NarratorIain Dyson Villagers Mrs BunEmma Ewens Mr ChopsDavid Backhouse Mrs HumbugSandy Parnham Mrs SproutJoan Mole Parson WindTodd Newman 6 The Narrator Iain Dyson Giant’s Slaves:Louise Catry-Bossis Jane Darmanthé Barbara Davalos Debby Higgs Elisabeth Roche Kathy Southwell Mexican Beans:Michaela Agnello Elsa Blareau Patrick Ferris Juliette McCarthy Dance CaptainLydia Jones Dancers:Lorna Francois Ella Goddard Joss Harris James Higgs Elspeth Highley Bekki Jennings Linda Poss Marta Rodriguez Rebecca « L’assistance d’un professionnel, ça Silverthorn change tout » 5Jillrue Gambetta - 31330 Grenade - 05 61 35 91 39 a nd Grann y, Happy www.adhapservices.fr Days International Montessori School Ecole maternelle bilingue Français - Anglais - De 2 à 6 ans NOUVEAU : Les ATELIERS du Mercredi www.montessori-toulouse.com chemin de Montagne - 31330 GRENADE Tél. 05 61 82 25 50 7 he ttom. Well, it is and we are very proud of what SPS has achieved; and we want to make sure it continues to delight and surprise audiences every year. The committee works throughout the whole year to ensure that SPS is able to put on a show at the end of January. This includes working with the Théâtre Musical de Pibrac through to ensuring all resources needed are available. The committee ensure that work is progressing with all aspects of putting on a show. Overall, the Main Committee role covers all the legal requirements of SPS as a registered 1901 Association in France. The committee members are all volunteers (as is everyone in SPS), but it takes a whole team of dedicated people to be able to produce a pantomime. The committee make sure that the team is able (and willing) to do this. With more than 100 people involved in total, the committee needs to guide and ensure that everything is progressing and working as it should. Putting on a pantomime is a huge commitment on everybody’s part and a huge team effort, but when you see people leaving the performance smiling, laughing and coming back time after time, well, that’s why we all do it. No fluffy animals were harmed in the making of this show 17 Who, what, where? Once upon a time… 1984 to be exact, a group of UK expatriates thought it a pity that their children were missing out on a great British Christmas tradition – PANTOMIME. Out of this came the decision to put on a surprise single performance of a pantomime, Snow White, for their families. And so the Secret Pantomime Society was born. From these humble beginnings, SPS has expanded with great success and to increasing audiences. Today a few of the founding members are still involved; and the association continues to grow with a multi-national membership. It is not only the British who are involved with SPS. We have French and many other European nationalities represented - as well as America, Australia, New Zealand and Mexico, to name but a few. SPS is always looking for people interested in theatre – on stage or behind the scenes.
