FLEXIBLE INVESTMENT OPTIONS:
• Cash or Credit Card Donation: An annual cash gift of $10,000 or more is a simple way to make a gift.
You will receive a charitable tax deduction which you can include in your tax return. (Payroll deduction is
available in most workplaces.)
• Stocks and Bonds: By making a gift of your appreciated securities, you can avoid paying capital gains tax
that would otherwise be due if you sold these assets.
• Real Estate: A gift of real property (such as a home, vacation property, vacant land, farmland/ranch or
commercial property) can potentially help you avoid the capital gains tax.
• Life Insurance: If your life insurance policy is no longer needed or will no longer benefit your survivors, consider making a gift that will help further our mission and your philanthropic goals.
• Retirement Accounts: A gift of your retirement assets, such as a gift from your IRA, 401k, 403b, pension or
other tax deferred plan, is an excellent way to support your community.
• ‘Live United’ Forever: The Tocqueville Legacy Circle is a special group of Tocqueville Society members who
have chosen to perpetuate a gift by pledging to give $200,000 or more through their estate plans. Endowing your annual Tocqueville gift is a wonderful way to extend your impact and continue to work for positive
change in our community beyond your lifetime. A Tocqueville Legacy Circle gift ensures the ability of United
Way Suncoast to invest in the community for years to come.
