Course Description
The aim of the course is to introduce the student to the art of drama from the page to the stage to the
aesthetic and then the intellectual experience. Four plays will be seen, with preparatory lectures
beforehand and full analyses in class afterwards, supplemented by a video. Two essays will be assigned,
one in September and the second in November.
