The United States Peace Corps is seeking a Medical Secretary. Under the general supervision of the Country
Director and in coordination of the Peace Corps Medical Contractors the Medical Secretary will assist the medical
team in managing 200 + volunteers and trainees medical needs with administrative support..

Job Responsibilities:
Provides administrative support to the medical office.
Assists in the development of all local Peace Corps policies i.e. health and safety of PC Trainees and Volunteers.
Monitors in-coming and out-going medically related mail and packages.
Processes, receives and stock checks all requests, by cable, fax or by local purchase, for medical supplies and
equipment.

Maintain a data base inventory of health unit medications and supplies.
•
Assists in maintaining information of local medical consultant and facilities; retrieves laboratory reports.
Assists with maintenance of PC Trainees' and PC Volunteers' Health records, keeping them under combination lock
and limiting access to insure medical confidentiality in compliance with the provision of the Privacy Act.
Assists in translating reports, directions and communications.
Type emails/cables related to PCVs' health problems, emergencies and administrative inquiries.
Manages administrative aspects of PC Volunteer medical evacuation.
Prepares administrative aspects of domestic travel for PCMC. Includes site maps of Volunteers and sends them notes
if applicable.
Prepares and processes payment vouchers for local health consultants and laboratories, and maintains accurate file
accordingly.
Keeps and maintains file of medical expenditures and record the medical budget as far as orders and expenditures are
concerned.
Prepares and processes medical sub-vouchers for PC Volunteers reimbursement of medical visits (per diem) and
medical supplies after approval of PCMC.
Arranges and coordinates all requested medical appointments of PC Volunteers with local consultants and facilities as
requested by PCMC. If requested will accompany for physical support or translation.
Assists in the administration and delivery of training as required and supervised by the PCMC and the Training
Manager.
Conducts site visits in support of Volunteers in the field as required by the PCMC.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED AND PROVEN EXPERIENCE IN THE FOLLOWING:
University degree or equivalent experience in Office Management
Three to five years of related work experience required.
Strong Language ability: Written and Spoken English, French and Arabic required.
Excellent organizational, administrative, managerial and interpersonal skills required.
Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel required.
Moroccan Citizenship
