Sitzen ist nicht gleich Sitzen. Es gibt
mindestens 1.000 Möglichkeiten, es
zu tun. Die Sammlung Werner Löffler
zeigt im „Museum zur Kulturgeschichte
des Sitzens“ mehr als 1.200 Möglichkeiten die einem das Leben zum Sitzen
und Be-sitzen bietet. Die Frage
„Was ist ein guter, schöner und innovativer Stuhl?“ bewegt Werner Löffler
bereits seit er 25 ist. Daraus entstand der Wunsch, scheinbar Unvereinbares miteinander zu verbinden:
Sitzmöbel, die Büroarbeiter nicht
stillsitzen lassen und eben trotz
der gesundheitlichen Vorteile auch
ansprechend aussehen.

are at least 1,000 ways of being seated.
The exhibition “Collection Werner
Löffler” at the “Museum of Cultural
History of Sitting” presents more
than 1,200 comfortable exhibits to
inspire you to find the right seat
in life. “What is a high-quality,
aesthetic and innovative chair like?” –
This has been the key question
on Werner Löffler’s mind since he
was 25 years old. Reflecting upon it
resulted in the desire to reconcile
what seemed to be contradictory
terms: developing and building
seating-furniture which allows office
employees to be physically active
at work while, at the same time, being
beneficial to their health and looking
prestigious.
On ne s’assoie jamais de la même
façon. Mille possibilités nous sont
offertes. La collection Werner Löffler,
montre dans « le musée de l’histoire
de la culture de l’assise » plus de 1200
possibilités de s’assoir que nous
offre la vie. « Qu’est-ce qu’un siège
confortable, esthétique et innovant? »
– Cette question est une constante
dans la réflexion et l’inspiration de
Werner Löffler depuis l’age de 25 ans.
De cette question resulte le souhait
associé au désir d’assembler
des éléments, qui à première vue,
n’étaient pas compatibles: Tous
les sièges représentent l’adéquation:
d’une assise qui ne permet pas
d’être statique, qui préserve la santé
du dos associé à une esthétique.
Die Sammlung LÖFFLER ist jeden 1. Freitag im Monat von 15 bis 18 Uhr und jeden 2. Sonntag im Monat von 11 bis 16 Uhr geöffnet.
The LÖFFLER collection is open on the 1st Friday each month from 3pm - 6pm and on the 2nd Sunday each month from 11am - 4pm.
La collection LÖFFLER est ouverte le 1er vendredi de chaque mois de 15 à 18h et le 2e dimanche de chaque mois de 11 à 16h.
