Se passionne pour l’image dès l’âge de 14 ans. Pour la Croix Rouge française, il
couvre de grands évènements humanitaires comme le cyclone Hugo ou la chute
des Ceausescu en Roumanie. Il travaille pour le monde de la mode et illustre quatre
livres édités chez Flammarion. En 2001 il est lauréat du prix du jury Noir et Blanc
Ilford.
Is passionated about photography since he is 14 years old. For the French Red
Cross, he covers major humanitarian events such as Hurricane Hugo or the fall of
the Ceausescus in Romania. He works for the fashion world and illustrated four
books published by Flammarion. In 2001 he won the Black and White Ilford Jury
Prize.
Né à Huy, le 13 octobre 1952 (Belgique). Sa
fascination pour l’image le mène vers la photographie.
Actuellement, il poursuit son travail sur les multiples
aspects de la civilisation africaine. Il a exposé en
Europe, en Afrique, en Amérique du Nord et en Asie.
Pour Hamaji Magazine il signe ses plus beaux récits de

to photography. Currently, he continues his work
about the various aspects of African civilization. He

and Asia. For Hamaji Magazine he realises his most

intitulée « Les Chroniques de l’African Missioner ». Depuis toute jeune, elle se
passionne pour les voyages et est sans cesse à la recherche de nouvelles adresses
et expériences à faire partager.
Currently studying Business at the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa,
Maxime Delafoy writes for Hamaji Magazine her first article in a section entitled
«The Chronicles of an African Missioner». Ever since she was very young, she
has been a fan of travels and is constantly in search for new ‘places to be’ and
experiences to share.

Artiste photographe plasticien, réalisateur, diplômé en art plastique Mustache Muhanya
vit à Lubumbashi. A travers la photographie, il veut partager la perception qu’il a de son
environnement, de la vie au Congo. Mustach fait parler « l’absence » à travers ses clichés,
pour traduire les aspects positifs de la société africaine.
Visual artist photographer, filmmaker and a dregree in fine arts, Mustace Muhanya
lives in Lubumbashi. Through photography, he wants to share his perception of his
environment, life in Congo. Through his shots, Mustache let the “absence” speaks for
itself in order to reflect the positive aspects of African society.

most of its course it forms the border between DR Congo and Zambia. Bangweulu is home to the Twa people, who came from the Congo area and are thought to be the
first indigenous 'Zambians'.

Qui est “The Real Crystal Birch”?
Je suis un tourbillon créatif qui crée des
chapeaux et habille les gens dans l’industrie
du film. J’adore ce que je fais et c’est pour
ça que j’arrive à faire tant de choses.
Pourquoi cette passion pour la mode et
depuis combien de temps fais tu partie de
cette industrie?
Cela fait 9 ans que je suis styliste pour des
éditos de mode, campagnes, catalogues, films
et particuliers. J’ai toujours été fascinée par
les vêtements et leur déconstruction, et ce
depuis que je suis enfant. Je voulais me
spécialiser dans quelque chose après mon
diplôme dans la mode, et chapelière est
venu comme une évidence.
Où trouves-tu toute cette inspiration
et dis en moi plus sur ces fantastiques
bérets?
Je voulais créer un béret plus structuré,
mais également unisexe. Si vous les
regardez de plus près, ils reflètent
toujours quelque chose de militant,
romantique ou Français.
Je voulais lui donner un look plus
moderne, et mon dossier de presse (qui
sort bientôt) va représenter tout ça

Who is “The Real Crystal Birch”?
I am a creative whirlwind that creates hats and dress
the people in the film industry. I love what I do and
that's why I manage to do so many things.
Why this passion for fashion and for how long
have you been part of this industry?
It’s been 9 years that I am a stylist for fashion
editorials,
campaigns,
catalogues,
films
and
individual customers. I have always been fascinated
by clothes and their deconstruction, and that since
I was child. I wanted to specialize in something after
my degree in fashion, and hatter came as obvious.
Where do you get all this inspiration and tell me
more about these fantastic berets?
I wanted to create a more structured beret, but
also unisex. If you look closely, they still reflect
something militant, romantic or French.
I wanted to give it a more modern look, and my press
release (coming out soon) will represent all that.
Any exciting projects coming up soon?
YES! I will soon open a new store in Maboneng
which is a trendy neighbourhood in Johannesburg,
in a historic building, The Cosmopolitan.
I will share this space with the talented Agata and
her fragrance brand, House of Gozdawa.

PAR SIKASSO WA KAZADI
Sikasso Kazadi est styliste et créateur de mode. Il a fondé
en RDC la maison de couture 6kasso. Incontournable sur les
podiums africains il s’est illustré lors du Fashion-Week de
Kinshasa en 2015. Son inspiration qui se nourrit aussi des
nombreux voyages en Afrique de l’ouest imprime sur son
travail des influences traditionnelles.
Une exposition des matières dans sa dernière collection: le
raphia, le shuka des masaïs, le coton du Burkina-Faso, lin et
indigo du Mali.
La troisième édition de KINSHASA FASHION WEEK a noté
quelques particularités au niveau des matières utilisées par
les créateurs. Et la collection INDIGO présentée par Sikasso
KAZADI a été particulièrement remarquée par la créativité et
la recherche des accessoires, les coiffures, des parures, des
sacs et des motifs. Un travail de recherche dans la culture
vestimentaire du Mali avec celle de l ’Afrique Subsaharienne.
Il faut ajouter à cela une touche de modernité parfaitement
aboutie.

Kazadi Sikasso is a stylist and fashion designer. He founded in
DRC the fashion brand 6kasso, which became a must on African
catwalks since Kinshasa Fashion Week in 2015. His inspiration,
which finds its roots in his numerous trips to West Africa, prints
out on his work some traditional influences.
There is an exhibition of materials in Sikasso’s latest collection:
raffia, Maasais’ shuka, cotton from Burkina Faso, linen and the
indigo from Mali.
The third edition of KINSHASA FASHION WEEK noted some
particularities in terms of the materials used by the creators.
INDIGO and the collection presented by Sikasso Kazadi was
noticed by the creativity and research of accessories, hairstyles,
jewelry, bags and patterns. True research efforts about the
Mali fashion culture combined with that of sub-Saharan Africa.
Added to this is a perfectly accomplished touch of modernity.

boxeurs, hommes, femmes et enfants, qui s'entraînent presque chaque soir, semblent sonnés par
la nouvelle : le 3 juin, Mohamed Ali est mort à Phoenix, aux
Etats-Unis, des suites d’une insuffisance respiratoire. Le roi
du ring avait 74 ans, et en avait passé 32 à se battre contre
la maladie de Parkinson. 32 ans, c'est l'âge que qu'il avait
lorsqu'il affronta George Foreman, qui n'en avait que 24,
le 30 octobre 1974 dans ce même stade. Un combat dont
le souvenir est encore vivace dans l'esprit de ces boxeurs,
même si la plupart sont trop jeunes pour y avoir assisté. Ici,
