27 years ! Since 27 years music is filling Moulin with happiness.
A scent of youth, talent is coming from these first years, where young
musicians discovered the mill. For most of them, these promises of
talent have concluded to success.
Seeing their name on prestigious concerts announcements justify the
existence and the development of this Academy. It's a help for a lot
of musicians who will have a professional career, where they'll find
the sense of their life.
The fidelity of professors, coming every year, is also a proof of
mutual trust and quality. Professors, as students find at the Mill
excellent working conditions with numerous pianos and teaching
classes. The occasion of meetings, a possibility to share life with
others residents, whatever their art is.
The Mill is an open space where, each year, students from the whole
world meet and share a unique experience.
May the Academy have a long life for many decades!

This sum covers the use of the rooms and
pianos (for student and general fees) or just
admittance to masterclasses (for auditor
fees), also full board accommodation and
free entrance to all concerts.
On request, and if available, supplement for
accommodation in single room is 150 €.

Daniel GROSGURIN, cello
Daniel Grosgurin was born in Geneva,
Switzerland and studied there with Pierre
Fournier, later with Janos Starker in
Bloomington, Ind. (USA).
A prize winner at international competitions in Geneva and Florence ("Cassado")
he played as soloist with prestigious
orchestras and was invited to Festivals
such as Lucerne, Salzburg, Montreux,
Pollença (Mallorca), Hong Kong and the
“Eastern Music Festival” in the US,
performing with artists such as Martha
Argerich, Wolfgang Sawallisch, Michel Plasson, Jesus Lopez Cobos, Jean Pierre Wallez,
Ulf Hoelscher, Valery Oistrakh or Pierre Amoyal.
From 1995 to 2005 he was artistic director of “Les Solistes de Genève”, a variable string
instruments ensemble which performed in several European countries with renowned
soloists.
Daniel Grosgurin has recorded pieces of Gaspar Cassado for “Dante”, works of
Schubert for “Naxos” and a program titled “Violoncelle & opéra” for VDE Gallo. He
started his pedagogical career at the “Hochschule für Musik” in Mannheim, Germany,
taught from 1990 to 2014 at the “Haute Ecole de Musique” in Geneva, Switzerland and
was appointed at the “Schola cantorum de Paris” in the Fall of 2014.
Fee advance
The application form must be accompanied by the fee advance of 250 €, plus 50 € of
registration fee. The fee advance is refundable, in the event of cancellation by the
participant if notice is given until one month before beginning of the chosen course.
In the case of the application being denied by the professor the whole deposit (fee
advance and registration fee) will be refunded. The balance of 650 € is paid at the
arrival in Moulin.
Payment rules
French or foreign cheque or postal order, only in Euros, payable to the Moulin d'Andé

Arrival and departure
Participants should arrive the day before in the afternoon. Departures will take place in
the afternoon of the last day. For any change of dates, a prior acceptance by the Moulin
d’Andé is requested.
