La présentation partielle de cet ouvrage multimédia fondée sur 45 ans de travaux
monographiques en collaboration avec les habitants des Hautes-terres (1971-2016),
sera l’occasion d’aborder des questions de méthode lors du travail sur le terrain et de
théoriegénéraleenLinguistiqueetenAnthropologie.
Les recours techniques qui n’ont cessé de se développer à cette même époque, sont
toujours venus enrichir les enquêtes in situ, puis à la table de travail, tant au
CeDRASEMI,qu’auLACITO,auLMSetauMNHN.
Après avoir construit pendant 30ans (1991-2011), une archive multimédia en 16
languesvernaculairesdecommunautésnationalesdesPhilippinesetlestraductionsen
français, anglais ou tagalog de ces longues performances chantées, nous avons pu
construireàlademandedeAteneodeManilaUniversity,unsite:“PhilippineEpicsand
Ballads Archive”: <http://epics.ateneo.edu/epics> libre d’accès sur la toile, dès 2011.
Depuis, j’ai tenté de restituer dans leur contexte respectif, les catégories de arts de la
paroledesMontagnardsetcefaisantdesauvegardercertainsaspectsdeleurmémoire
collective.

The partial presentation of this multimedia work based on 45 years of monographic
study,incollaborationwiththeHighlanders(1971-2016),shallgiveustheopportunity
to raise some questions about methodology as we work in the field and about general
theoryinLinguisticsandAnthropology.
Duringthesameperiodoftime,thetechnical deviseskeptondevelopingandkepton
deeppeningourinquiriesinsitu,thenatourdeskworkatCeDRASEMI,LACITO,LMSas
wellasMNHN.
During 3O years (1991-2011), we have built a multimedia archive on 16 vernacular
languages among the national communities of the Philippines together with the
translationsinFrench,EnglishorTagalogoftheselongsungperformances.
At the request of Ateneo de Manila University, we were able to built a website, access
freesince2011:“PhilippineEpicsandBalladsArchive”<http://epics.ateneo.edu/epics>.
Since then, I have attempted to restitute, in their respective context, the semantic
categoriesoftheHighlanders’verbalartsandbydoingsotosafeguardsomeaspectsof
theircollectivememory.
I wish to testify about my reflection and its development during the whole enterprise
linkedtoDigitalHumanities(DH)andDocumentaryLinguistics.
