So, is there a word for “you’re welcome”?
Mathilde: On dit de rien.

“Please” is s’il te plaît, isn’t it?
Mathilde: Oui. S’il te plaît ,ou s’il vous plaît pour un
adulte.

So I would say s’il vous plaît if I was
speaking to an adult?
Mathilde: Oui, mais pour ta mère, s’il te plaît, et pour
ton père.

and I didn’t understand?

Comment? Is that like saying “what?”
Mathilde: Oui. Comment?

Mathilde: Comment? You try! Comment? Bien! On
peut aussi dire je ne comprends pas - I
don’t understand. Je ne comprends pas.
Emma:
