1. Reading Comprehension:
Students should be able to read a passage silently and closely and answer a set of
objective questions.
2. Vocabulary:
* Students are expected to:
- Use the words to fill in the blanks in sentences.
- Match the words with their synonyms.
- Cross out the “odd” word.
- Match the words with their opposites.
B. Writing Skills:
3. Grammar:
The following skills will be tested:
1- To identify the four kinds of nouns (Proper, common, concrete and abstract).
2- To recognize and form singular and plural nouns (Regular and Irregular).
3- To use singular and plural possessive nouns with apostrophe.
4- To use and to combine two nouns in the subject part.
5- To use and to combine two nouns in the predicate part.
6- To recognize the verb tenses (present, past, future & the progressive tense).
