Etre innovant ne veut pas simplement dire être à la mode, mais savoir dicter la mode à son temps.
Dans l’industrie, cela signifi e être en avance dans la conception,
ans la technique et dans les méthodes de production.
C’est ce qui a motivé Stella pour porter les valeurs de qualité au niveau international.
Stella est probablement la plus ancienne robinetterie du monde.
Elle voit le jour en 1882 à Cireggio, sur le lac d’Orta, dans la région du Cusio,
qui est encore aujourd’hui une des régions les plus importantes pour la production de robinetteries et de vannes.

et une vision avant-gardiste du design industriel.
Son objectif est précis: offrir une robinetterie pratiquement éternelle, facile à monter et
répondant à une exceptionnelle rigueur esthétique.
Dès ses premières fabrications, Stella propose des lignes tellement nouvelles et séduisantes,
qu’elles sont encore aujourd’hui parmi les préférées du public.
La série Italica est produite depuis le tout début du XXème siècle,
la Roma depuis 1926, et elles sont toujours les plus copiées du monde.
Son incomparable qualité fi t le succès de Stella parmi les grands acheteurs.

By successfully combining superb craftsmanship and early forms of industrial design,
the company reached the apex of worldwide production right from the early years of the twentieth century.
But also by pursuing a precise objective: that of offering practically eternal taps, of extraordinary beauty and easy to mount.
Italica line has been in production since the early twentieth century and Roma since 1926: both are still the most imitated in the world.
After that , in 60’s, there was the beginning of the designer’s cooperation:
Mangiarotti for Thermostatic mixer Isomix, Carlo Santi and Fabrizio Bianchetti
in the 1970s and 1980s and, more recently, Norman Foster, Marco Piva and Luca Scacchetti.
Together with these talented designers, Stella has never stopped bringing up
to date the concept of “contemporary”.

Les mécanismes des têtes de robinet travaillent

Stella Technical Assistance aims for quality. All components can be supplied, even decades after installation.
To avoid breaking tiles or marble when servicing, all the built-in parts can easily be taken out and replaced even after many years.

Les fi nitions Stella sont célèbres pour leur qualité exceptionnelle, obtenue entre autre grâce à un long processus
de préparation. Ce qui pour les autres est prêt à être chromé, n’est encore pour nous qu’une pièce brute.
Un polissage minutieux sera alors nécessaire pour éliminer tous les défauts pouvant apparaître sur chaque pièce et
garantir ainsi une parfaite adhésion du revêtement.
Un traitement spécial, ancienne méthode traditionnelle réintroduite chez Stella, précède le chromage, le
laitonnage, l’argenture ou la dorure. Grâce à ce procédé (qui est un des secrets de la qualité Stella) le chromage
présente un aspect plus chaud et prend avec le temps une patine qui rend les formes plus douces.
La dorure Stella à 23.5 carats, présente une épaisseur qui peut être jusqu’à 10 fois supérieure aux épaisseurs
habituellement appliquées. Plus que précieux, c’est aussi un revêtement fi able et résistant.
L’argenture est effectuée grâce à un dépôt minimum de 10 microns d’argent pur. Sa brillance donne un aspect
vraiment unique à la surface des robinets. Elle est réalisée d’une façon artisanale et dans les règles de l’art par une
très ancienne Maison milanaise.
Un dépôt sous vide d’oxyde de titane (PVD), disponible sur certaines séries ou sur demande, rend les finitions
beaucoup plus résistantes, insensibles aux attaques chimiques, et conserve les couleurs dans le temps, même pour
les pièces de rechange.
Stella finishes are renowned for their exceptional quality, which is achieved only after a long preparation process.
When others start chrome plating, we have only just begun.
Precision cleaning and polishing eliminates any defect from the surface of each piece, ensuring perfect adhesion of the fi nal coating.
Before the chrome-plating, brass-plating, silver-plating or gold-plating process begins, a special traditional treatment, reintroduced by Stella, is carried out.
This process (one of Stella’s quality secrets) gives the chrome plating a warmer look and over time forms a patina that softens the shapes.
Stella gold plating is 23.5 carat. It is at least twice as thick as the market average, but it can be up to ten times that amount.
As well as being a precious fi nish, it is also extremely reliable and long-lasting.
The silver plating has a minimum thickness of 10 microns of pure silver. Its special sparkle gives the surfaces of the taps an absolutely unique look.
It is beautifully made by Argenteria Dabbene, a historic Milanese company that uses a highly delicate process.
A titanium oxide vacuum deposit (PVD), available for some series or upon request, makes finishes extremely resistant, protecting them against reaction
to aggressive chemicals whilst maintaining colours and aesthetic features for many years, offering consistency in finish, even for spare parts and replacements

La série Eccelsa, qui vit le jour à la fi n des années
vingt comme “Série Exagonale Extra Luxe”, revient
à l’occasion du 125ème anniversaire de Stella.
Robinet aux lignes subtiles et sophistiquées, il demande
par sa forme particulière une rare compétence
dans la conception et dans la réalisation. Dessinée
en pleine période cubiste, l’Eccelsa s’adapte
de façon étonnante à la tendance contemporaine,
comme seuls les objets de grand design savent le faire.
The Eccelsa collection, which was created in the late 1920s as the “Serie Esagonale Extra-Lusso”,
was reintroduced on Stella’s 125th anniversary. A stunningly eclectic and sculptural tap,
its particular shape requires rare planning and manufacturing skills.
Originally created at the height of the Cubist period, like the other two historic collections,
it adapts perfectly to contemporary settings, as only objects of the finest design can do.

Une série de robinetterie clairement influencée par le néo-classicisme.
Sa surface cannelée est librement inspirée des colonnes grecques,
et son style sobre est exactement l’antithèse du baroque.
La fonction première de cet objet, est d’être un robinet, mais il pourrait tout à fait
trouver sa place pour d’autres usages dans un monde raffiné et sophistiqué comme pouvait l’être
celui du Venise de Casanova ou plus largement celui du
Monde de Casanova. Elégance, séduction, désir sont les mots qui correspondent le mieux à ces
formes aristocratiques, qui font penser aux ambiances riches, cultivées et précieuses, ou la classe
n’est que le privilège de quelques uns. Ses formes intemporelles n’ontrien à voir avec la mode ou
l’éphémère, mais elles soulignent bien au contraire, l’existence d’une culture au quotidien.

This is a series of objects that are meant to be faucets, but could be anything linked to the elegance of a refined and sophisticated world that

Stella a décidé de donner son propre nom à une série qui marque une nouvelle
frontière dans la recherche esthétique et technique.
Une ligne très simple, et pourtant extrêmement originale, avec une poignée dont
la forme éloquente invite au toucher comme au regard. L’équilibre obtenu par les
formes asymétriques exalte le caractère de cet objet de design.
La série Stella utilise des mécanismes céramiques, solution technique qui permet
d’obtenir une ouverture maximale avec seulement un demi tour de poignée.
Stella has decided to give its own name to a project that opens up a new idea in aesthetic and
technical research. The design is extremely simple and yet highly original, with a handle that
introduces a powerful personality. It is an invitation to touch as well as to look. The balance of
asymmetrical shapes intensifi es the uniqueness of this design object.
The Stella collection uses ceramic headwork, a technical solution that makes it possible to open the
tap fully with just half a turn of the handle.

à Florence, le plus ancien bâtiment octogonale de la ville,
mentionné dans la Divina Commedia de Dante.
Comme le Baptistère, il a une section octogonale que rappelle la tradition
médiéva-le du symbolisme allégorique.
Cette solution améliore la rigueur desformes,
qui donne au corp la netteté d’un solidegéométrique régu-lière,
typique de l’art roman florentine.
The series Firenze is directly inspired by the Baptistery of San Giovanni in Florence,
the oldest octagonal building in the city, mentioned in Dante’s Divina Commedia.
Like the Baptistery it has an octagonal section that recalls the medieval tradition
of allegorical symbolism. This solution enhances the rigor of the forms,
giving the body the sharpness of a regular geometric solid, typical of Florentine Romanesque.
