Les universités offrent plusieurs types de logement : chambres simples et chambres doubles, appartements partagés et maisons en rangées. Certaines
résidences comprennent les plans de repas, d'autres non. Plusieurs universités exigent un dépôt de résidence afin de réserver votre place en résidence.

The campus meal plan is mandatory for
students living in dormitories and is included in
the cost of the room. Dorm students have two
meal plan options: a Traditional(full) or
Choice(light) meal plan. Meal plans are
optional for students living in the townhouse
residences.
Guaranteed Single Residence Rooms for All
First-Year Students
You must apply by June 1, 2017, with a
refundable $500 deposit, plus a $35 nonrefundable application fee, and remit the to
the Housing Office at Algoma U.

All residence rooms are private single rooms.
Dormitory students share a bathroom with one
other student of the same sex. Weekly cleaning
is provided in dorm bathrooms, common areas
and hallways. Dormitory common rooms are
available that house study space, entertainment
centres and microwave.
Townhouse students share two bathrooms, a full
kitchen and a living area with four other
students.
Commodités
Wireless internet access in residence (common
areas, outside, living rooms, etc.) and local
phone service will be provided. Laundry and
mail facilities are available on-site.

Residence costs are based on building style as
well as whether the room is single or double
occupancy. For 2016-2017 residence costs
ranged from $5,880 to $7,445. These costs are
subject to change for the 2017-2018 academic
year. Visit Brock's residence website for further

A meal plan is required in all traditional-style
residences. If you live in a townhouse-style
residence or off-campus, you will have the
option of cooking for yourself or purchasing a
meal plan if desired.

First-year students living in residence will be
enrolled in the All Access Meal Plan, which
provides unlimited entry into the Dining Hall and
$200 Dining "Flex" Dollars. This flexibility
ensures that you will be able to fit healthy eating
into your personal schedule. For students living
in suite-style residences, there is a Reduced
Meal Plan option, which offers 7 meals per week
and $450 Flex Dollars.

and suite-style residence accommodations. Both
co-ed and single-gender (limited number,

$300 in flex dollars – a no-worry alternative to
carrying cash – that may be used on campus

Brock offers 6 individual residences in three
styles: Traditional, Semi-suite, and Townhouse.
Commodités
Traditional-style and Semi-suite style residences
have both single and double rooms grouped into
communities of “houses” or “halls” of 40 to 60
students. Washroom facilities are shared.
Townhouse-style residences offer the
convenience of on-campus living, with a more
independent lifestyle. You will share a unit with
2, 3, or 4 other students and have the option to
cook your own meals.
• All rooms in Quarry View Residence are
singles.
• There is one double room and three single
rooms in each Village Residence unit.
• Townhouse-style residences also feature a
kitchen, living area, and 2 bathrooms per
house.
Commodités
All residences are close to the main buildings on
campus. Several rooms are designed to
accommodate those with mobility devices.
Residence fees include utilities, local telephone
and network connections.

incoming Year One full-time students, who are
coming directly from high school, or whose
primary residence is outside of Ontario. Please
ensure that we receive your residence
application and deposit by the posted deadline
for this guarantee to apply.
We also guarantee residence to students
transferring from another postsecondary
institution who meet the following conditions:
• Accept their offer of admission no later
than June 1, 2017;
• Were granted less than 5.0 transfer credits
as determined by Brock University by June
1, 2017; and
• Submit the residence application and fee
by the deadline.

school and CEGEP students entering first-year
studies in the fall, provided you receive an offer
on, or before, May 15, 2017. You must pay the
deposit and accept the residence offer online, by
the deadline outlined on the Housing website, to
confirm your space.
If you do not qualify for a guaranteed space in
residence, you can still apply. A lottery draw is
used for all other residence applications.

Express only) or by Interac. Please note that
only customers of BMO, RBC Royal Bank, TD

Central, not directly through your bank.

• Full - our most popular plan, designed for
students who are on campus on alternate
weekends and those with average

• Varsity - appropriate for students who are
on campus most weekends, athletes and
those with larger appetites: $5,850
• Ultra - an optional meal plan designed for

Single style: A great choice, as these private
rooms provide your own personal space, while

traditional single-style room you will have access
to centrally located washrooms and lounges.

Guelph's residence is one of the largest in
Canada. Room types include: single, double,

La nouvelle Résidence Est, est une édifice de
12 étages hébergeant 236 personnes dans des
appartements autonomes. Chaque appartement
a trois ou quatre chambres pour une personne,
un salon, une cuisine et deux salles de bain.
Résidence Ouest
La Résidence Ouest est un édifice de six étages
avec air conditionné et ascenseur. Cinq étages
sont réservés au logement. Le rez-de-chaussée
est occupé par la buanderie, des machines
distributrices, des toilettes publiques, des salles
d'étude, une aire de cueillette du courrier, le
Bureau des résidences, des aires de service,
une salle à ordures, une salle pour le recyclage,
etc.
La Résidence Ouest loge 220 membres du
corps étudiant des années supérieures dans 55
appartements meublés et indépendants
comptant chacun 4 chambres simples, un salon,
une cuisine et deux salles de bain. La télévision
par câblodistribution dans chaque appartement,
une connexion à internet près de chaque lit et
une prise de téléphone dans chaque pièce sont
offertes sans frais supplémentaires. Il y a aussi
une salle de télévision et un vide-ordure à
chaque étage. Toutes les entrées, dont l'accès
s'effectue au moyen d'une carte, sont munies
d'une caméra de surveillance.

Résidence des étudiants
célibataires
Résidence Lucien-Matte de
l'Universitié de Sudbury
La Résidence des étudiants célibataires
comprend trois ailes comportant chacune trois
étages. Cet édifice peut loger 387 étudiant(e)s
dans 54 appartements à 4 chambres à coucher
pouvant loger 6 personnes chacun, et 18
appartements à deux chambres à coucher
pouvant loger 4 personnes. Chaque
appartement compte une salle à manger, salon,
une cuisine comportant une cuisinière et un
réfrigérateur, deux salles de bain et une salle
d'entreposage.
La résidence Lucien-Matte, affiliée à l'Église
catholique, peut loger 174 étudiants et
étudiantes dans 92 chambres à un lit et 41
chambres à deux lits. Des petites sections de 12
à 14 étudiants et étudiantes rappellent
l'ambiance de la maison. Les salles communes
au rez-de-chaussée rendent la section des
chambres plus tranquille. Chaque chambre est
équipée du câble pour la télévision (sans frais),
une pour l'internet à chaque bureau (sans frais)
et une prise pour le téléphone.

Thorneloe
La Résidence du collège universitaire est une
tour de onze étages où peuvent loger 240
étudiant(e)s. Elle comprend 60 chambres à un lit
et 90 chambres à deux lits. Vingt-quatre (24)
personnes demeurent sur chaque étage.
Chaque étage comprend une salle de bain, une
salle de télévision, une cuisine comportant un
four à micro-ondes et deux cuisinières, et une
salle d'entreposage. Une buanderie est située à
tous les deux étages.
La résidence de l'Université Thorneloe peut
accueillir, dans des chambres individuelles, 58
femmes et hommes, et accepte environ 20
étudiants de première année tous les ans.
Affiliée à l'Église anglicane, elle est ouverte à
tous les étudiants à plein temps, peu importe
leur religion. Le doyen de la résidence,
l'aumônier et le secrétaire général offrent des
services aux personnes demeurant en
résidence. Diverses bourses d'études et d'aide
sont mises à leur disposition. Des prises de
téléphone et internet, pour lesquelles des frais
normaux de connexion sont exigés, se trouvent
dans chaque chambre.
Résidence des étudiants adultes
La Résidence des étudiants mariés/adultes
comprend des appartements meublés et non
meublés qui possèdent chacun une chambre à
coucher, une salle de bain, un salon, et une
cuisine équipée d'une cuisinière et d'un
réfrigérateur. Le loyer mensuel comprend les
rideaux, l'électricité, le chauffage, l'eau, et le
service de télédistribution. Les appartements
pour deux locataires comprennent un lit, une
commode, un bureau, une lampe de bureau et
une chaise par personne. Afin de demeurer
dans la RÉA, vous devez en être à votre
quatrième année d'études ou être considéré un
étudiant adulte. Les demandes de logement
sont acceptées toute l'année.

La télévision par câblodistribution dans chaque
appartement, une connexion à internet près de
chaque lit et une prise de téléphone dans
chaque pièce sont offertes sans frais
supplémentaires. Il y a aussi une salle de

La résidence Huntington héberge 171 étudiants
des deux sexes dans des installations modernes

bien équipées où les étudiants peuvent préparer
leurs propres repas. La résidence compte 21
chambres simples et 75 chambres pour deux
ainsi qu'un centre social, un petit gymnase et
une bibliothèque. La plupart des étudiants y
recevront un surnom affectueux, tel est l'esprit
de famille qui règne dans la résidence.

triple or quad rooms on both main and west
campus using a random computer lottery
process. This process takes into consideration,
but does not guarantee, the preferences listed
on a student's application. The chances of a
student getting one of his or her preferences
depends on a number of variables, including the
lottery number, the number of students with
similar preferences, and the availability of
particular preferences in any given year.

765 rooms in both townhouse and apartmentstyle accommodations. Each unit is selfcontained and fully furnished with bedrooms, a

room. There are four to six students per unit,
with 91% single occupancy bedrooms. First-year
students reside in same-gender
units. Accessible accommodations are available
for students with accessibility needs. Residence

Residence students at our Brantford Campus
participate in a mandatory convenience meal
plan that allows you to use your Laurier
OneCard at a number of on campus and
downtown food venues, including Subway (open
24 hours/day) and two grocery stores.
The mandatory minimum is $400/term for a total
of $800, but you can add money to your account
whenever you wish. You have the duration of
your time as a Laurier student to use the money
in your account.

single-gender apartments and a mix of single
and double rooms.

Both traditional-style and suite-style rooms are
available. The residences are mostly co-ed
including washrooms, but there are some floors/
sections designated as female- or male-only.

Rooms are furnished with a single-sized bed,

closet. Rooms are also equipped with wireless
high-speed internet access and a phone.
Students can subscribe to cable TV for an
additional fee. Self-select roommate requests

Single Room Guarantee: First-year students
who apply by June 1 and are admitted with an

Guaranteed residence offers will be sent out
starting mid-June. Contact Housing to discuss
your application if you have not heard from us by
mid-July.
Students who apply after June 1: We cannot
guarantee you a space in residence but you
could be placed on a waiting list. Space will be
offered as it becomes available throughout the
summer, and priority will be given to first-year
students who live the farthest away.
Other students applying for residence must meet
the housing application deadline stated in the
offer of admission package, in order to have
priority. Greater priority is given to students who
live a greater distance from York’s campuses.
Students who are 21 years of age or older are
eligible to apply for housing in the York
Apartments.

A $250 room reservation deposit must be paid
directly to your Student Account to confirm your
acceptance of your room offer. The reservation
deposit is non-refundable, unless Housing
Services withdraws your residence offer. Your
deposit is not an additional charge and will be

confirmed your acceptance.
