Garde : 2016-2022. April 2014 – Robert Parker 90/100 The 2011 Faugeres is a very strong effort, which is not surprising given the profound quality of Peby Faugeres. This bigger cuvee exhibits a dense ruby/purple color as well as lots of sweet black cherry and black currant fruit intermixed with hints of licorice and incense. Full, rich and layered, this up-front, gorgeous 2011 should drink well for 12+ years. It is a sleeper of the vintage. Février 19, 2014 – James Suckling 93/100 A wonderful red for the vintage with plum, berry, chocolate and toastedoak character. Full body, integrated tannins and a velvety texture. Wow. Try it in 2017. Mars 31, 2014 – Wine Spectator – James Molesworth 91/100 This is packed with plum cake, melted black licorice, blackberry compote and singed anise notes, with a roasted apple wood accent stretching out on the finish. Best from 2015 through 2025.
