disciplines will present a full One-Day Brazilian program in Aesthetic Dermatology, Surgery and Preventive and Well-aging medicine.

program of educational sessions combining SAFE Anti-aging practice with non-invasive aesthetic techniques.
The aim: offering to the physicians from Aesthetics, General Practice and other Specialties, a strong scientific base to prevent aging and help people who are
already healthy to become even "healthier".

Brian BIESMAN is Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon in Nashville. He

Alastair CARRUTHERS is Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the University of

WOSIAM - FIRST WORLD SUMMIT ON INTERDISCIPLINARY AGING MEDICINE

Under the Presidency of Prof. Frederick NAFTOLIN, USA
WOSIAM is a one day conference organized by SIAM and supported by the Principality of Monaco and WOSAAM. This World Summit aims to become the rmeeting of reference where will be proposed an update on the latest scientific advances in Preventive, well-aging and Regenerative medicine and will debate the implications on the healthcare systems policies. The objective being to propose, at an international scale, a better health management and strategies for the care of
aging populations.
It will be off-site from the AMWC - Anti-Aging Medicine World Congress, but will have a special relationship with it since WOSIAM will furnish speakers for the
scientific sessions of the AMWC.
The first annual meeting of SIAM - Society for Interdisciplinary Aging Medicine, will occur during the WOSIAM.
THE SOCIETY FOR INTERDISCIPLINARY AGING MEDICINE (SIAM)
The past century has seen a doubling of lifespan in industrialized countries. There has also been a shift in leading causes of death - from acute illnesses to
complications of chronic diseases. These changes are largely the result of the widespread application of public health measures, improved availability of nutrition,
changes in occupational hazards and stresses, preventative measures and new medical interventions. The effect of these changes has affected demographics; the
profile of industrialized countries has been skewed toward increasingly older populations while developing countries have a bimodal distribution of population with
large percentages of younger individuals plus a growing number of advanced age individuals. We are facing a tsunami of aging people and their problems.
Biomedical research on aging and contributing factors for chronic diseases is forging ahead. The pharmaceutical industry is also moving ahead, but with a different métier.
The results are not coordinated and have led to advances that may reduce one disease while shifting the healthcare load to previously minor or less frequent conditions.
While the profile of healthcare needs reflects the increasing number of aging individuals with problems related to wellness and disease, the activities of those delivering
the care remain bound by historical customs and societal pressure to deliver clinical disease-oriented care rather than preventative care, health education and lifestyle
modification. In most cases there is insufficient direction of resources for other than delivery of care or for clinical or basic research.
The factors in the delayed response to the new demographics are social, especially lifestyle matters, and societal, inadequate resources to furnish healthcare to the increasing number of aging individuals. There is a lack of purposefully interdisciplinary approaches to early education, risk evaluation, targeted interventions and preventative
measures during the first half of life that are aimed at forestalling or affecting the course of disease in the latter half of life. The research in this area is age and disease
focused, which has furnished an incomplete understanding of the basis of these problems.
The Society for Interdisciplinary Aging Medicine will be a venue for interdisciplinary interaction of practitioners and scientists. The Society seeks members who are engaged in investigation, innovation and practice at all stages of life that are relevant to healthy aging. It will be a cross-cutting organization that leads the way by offering
a venue for new ideas and results. SIAM seeks members who are prepared to look and work across conventional borders to accomplish this mission.
The first, organizational meeting of SIAM will be on 7 April, 2010 at the World Summit of Interdisciplinary Aging Medicine to be held in Monte Carlo under the auspices
of the Principality of Monaco. The World Congress of Anti-Aging Medicine will follow, with SIAM-sponsored lectures and workshops.
This Summit will have two main lines of content: The scientific basis and management of aging, and, strategies for the care of aging populations.

The passport and visa requirements for persons visiting Monaco as tourists are the same as for France. For further details, contact any French consulate in

The WOSAAM - World Society of Anti-Aging Medicine will organize a private meeting for representatives of all medical national and

REGISTRATION FORMALITIES
Registration confirmation
Each attendee registered in advance will receive a confirmation of registration by the congress office. Please bring a copy of your registration confirmation
letter to on-site registration to speed up the process. If you do not have a confirmation letter and there is no record payment receipt by the congress office,
you will be required to provide payment on-site, even if you think a payment was remitted previously. Any duplicate payment resulting will be resolved following the meeting.
On-site registration and badge and congress material pick-up
The congress office registration desk will be located in the Grimaldi Forum at the Diaghilev level. Please keep in mind that on-site-registration can be time
consuming. Everyone is strongly encouraged to register prior to March 15, 2010 deadline in order to avoid delays, and having to pay a higher registration
fee. You are reminded to bring your confirmation letter with you when you pick up your badge and meeting material. We recommend that attendees allow
sufficient time to pick up their badges prior to the meeting, to avoid the last minute lines that may result in a missed session.
Please wear your badge!
Attendees are required to pick up and wear their conference badges at all times throughout the meeting. No access into the Venue and Congress sessions
will be allowed without badge. This allows us to ensure adequate security for your safety. If you misplace your badge, a 150 Euros fee will be charged to
remplace it.
Cancellation
We will refund the complete registration fee with a 50 Euros processing fee if written cancellation reaches us before March 5, 2010. We will refund 70 %
of the total payment if written cancellation reaches us before March 26, 2010. After this date no refund will be possible. No refund will be made for noshows or early check-out date.
GROUND TRANSPORTATION
Between Nice airport and Monaco a free shuttle service will be provided by the organization to all participants from Nice airport (Terminal 1 and 2) on April 7th
and 8th. In Monaco by showing their badge, AMWC delegates will have free access to the bus network in Monaco all the meeting long (April 8, 9 and 10).
