KORUS’ Business
The design and commercial architecture of stores are complementary, inseparable
elements in the achievement of optimum economic performance for a sales outlet. The
design of a retail chain and its layout are the true reflection of a brand, ensuring it is
recognised and positioned; they are the first things a consumer sees.
KORUS is therefore a specialist in:
the
the
the
the
creation and networked deployment of concepts,
building and renovation of sales areas,
maintenance of performance levels,
supply and installation of furniture and fittings.

The KORUS story
From the integration of ATMs .... (1991 – 1998)
After working for 15 years in the building sector, Charles Marcolin (our current
President) founded KORUS, a company specialising in the integration of automatic
telling machines in bank branches.
Attentive to the market and in the search for innovation, KORUS offered its clients
original ATM installation methods, which were quicker and less expensive.
….to fittings for banks …. (1998 – 2003)
On the strength of his success Charles Marcolin decided to extend the services
offered by KORUS to include the interior layout and fittings of banks.
This was how the project creation activity began: KORUS worked on projects as
General building company, General Contractor or Project Manager. At the same time
KORUS set up in Italy, creating its first foreign subsidiary (Spain followed in 2010).
KORUS GROUP
HISTORY
…and then working with the complete life cycle of commercial spaces (2003 to date).
Things have accelerated since 2003…
To meet its clients’ requirements as closely as possible (whether clients in the
banking sector or, now, in retailing), KORUS decided to extend its offer by
associating with design firms. KORUS can now offer its clients the design aspect
that was missing.
At the same time the activity offering Maintenance Management of commercial
spaces was developing..
KORUS became the sole interlocutor for retail chains and brand names offering all
the maintenance services they require for their premises. With the aim of reducing
overall maintenance costs by investing in preventive work, KORUS enables retail
chains to control the lifespan of their sales outlets over the long term.
Recently, and in order to create ever more efficient projects, KORUS has created
the KORUS MOBILIER (furniture and fittings) entity, to meet the need for small and
medium series that are standardised but adaptable to all types of premises.
KORUS thus brings specific solutions that reflect the image of the retail chains and
brand names we work with, meeting all their requirements.
It is with its unique organisation, known as [CRM]²: Consultancy & Design, Building
& Renovation, Maintenance and Furniture & Fittings, that KORUS has become in just
a few years a benchmark in partnering European networked retail chains and brand
names in their sales outlet layout projects.
Since the KORUS offer is either general or made to measure, each individual retail
chain and brand name can find the answer to its requirements.

we talk of values

CREDIT AGRICOLE DES SAVOIE
The Crédit Agricole des Savoie asked the Korus Group to design and build its branch in
Annecy (retail bank and private bank).
The 580 m² of the premises were created in less than 3 months.
KORUS GROUP
RECENT PROJECTS
The project’s originality lies in the solutions found by KORUS to meet the expectations
detailed in Crédit Agricole’s specifications, the aim of which was to encourage the
consultant/client proximity specific to this bank, by integrating the new technologies of
the Technolab (space dedicated to the technological innovations applied to bankinsurance).

PHILDAR
Korus designers have created a new concept for the Phildar stores.
The retail chain wanted to modernise its look whilst retaining its brand identity. Korus
therefore offered detailed zoning between clothing, knitting wool, accessories and
haberdashery items, all within a “home” atmosphere.
Korus also worked on the furniture and fittings, intended to focus on the variety of Phildar
products.
The 1st pilot site opened in Strasbourg last September.
A new “knitting wool” world to be discovered, along with the new 100% knitwear ready to
wear collection.
Stores in Toulouse, Créteil and Marseille have benefited from a lighter change to their
surroundings, also created by Korus.

KORUS, the search for efficiency
Always seeking to innovate and answer client concerns, the KORUS group has
registered patents, the principles of which have been used throughout Europe. These
inventions have made the everyday lives of bank staff, service providers and customers
easier, by offering ever greater efficiency and performance.
1994: The telescopic kiosk
(patent n 9407023) “Shelter or kiosk, specifically for dispensing cash.”
KORUS GROUP
PATENTS
An ideal solution for small areas. A small metal kiosk (requires 1.3m² floor space for
customer use and 2.6m² for management operations).
The principle is a manual or automated telescopic system. This allows for supply and
maintenance by sliding the machine forwards, allowing the manager free access to the
safe through a side door. Just prior to telescoping, a cover momentarily prevents user
access to the machine.
The manager can then proceed safely (internal lock) with counting and maintenance
tasks.

KORUS, the search for performance
2001: The AK’C GAB (patent n 0104028) “Cash dispenser kiosk”
A solution that meets the security requirements of managers and cash transporters, in
existing branches fitted with an ATM on the street, in front of which a truck can park.
The machine is integrated into the branch’s facade, in a door. The system allows,
through a remote control, rear telescoping of the ATM to enable the cash transporter
to enter a secure technical area in order to transfer the cash out of sight of the
general public. The same remote control allows the transporter, once back in his
vehicle, to move the machine forward to return it to its operational position.

Another solution: SUBLIMEO Highly resistant decorative solution
The Subliméo solution consists of applying a digital image, photo or drawing to a metallic
base.
Subliméo’s intrinsic properties meet the communication and image demands of brand
names in both indoor and outdoor environments.
Benefits include shock resistance, resistance to corrosion, the image cannot become
unstuck, decoration takes place in the factory, UV-resistance, Graffiti-resistance
(validated by the RATP), Fire-resistance classification M1, lightweight, easy to change.
