15th ANNUAL CASI CHILI COOK-OFF

Buffalo Girls Hotel, located on The Mountain, Highway 64 East, in Canton will host the 14th annual
CASI Chili Cook-off Saturday, April 5, 2014. Once again our annual CASI Chili Cook-off, whose
goal is to promote chili and raise money for charity, will donate the proceeds to a well deserving
charity, Citizens League for Animal Welfare (CLAW). We are asking our friends and businesses in
our community to help this year’s charity with a donation. Any amount of donation is greatly
appreciated!
This year you can donate in two ways. Item donations will be used in a raffle, silent auction or live
auction, with the name of each donor prominently displayed with the item or on the raffle ticket.
Businesses and friends will also have the opportunity to become a Pepper Sponsor by making a
monetary donation in the form of $50, $100, $150 or $250. Pepper Sponsors will also have their
names displayed at the chili cook-off.
Each year four million cats and dogs – about one every eight seconds – are put down in the United
States. Between six and eight million enter shelters each year. CLAW’s mission is to rescue as many
animals as possible in our community and place them in loving “Forever Homes.” Further, CLAW
raises awareness about the importance of spaying and neutering pets to help prevent overpopulation,
and educates residents on how to stop animal cruelty. Please help us this year by supporting a
very needy cause and the CLAW Mission… finding a “Forever Home” for our community’s
injured, abandoned, neglected or unwanted pets!
Come out and join us for a “dog gone good time,” great entertainment, lots of fun and fellowship, a
silent auction, live auction, raffle, baked goods, salsa, and some GREAT chili!
