Her video The River is part of the group exhibitions “Suspended Spaces–Switch On!” April 27, 2016 at Palácio Pombal, Lisbon, Portugal, and “Suspended Spaces–Sair do livro!” May 5–27, 2016, Círculo de Artes plásticas de Coimbra, Portugal. Her feature film And the Living Is Easy (2014) was screened in the festival Les Rencontres Internationales Paris/Berlin, March 20, 2016, and in the festival VideoEx in Zürich in May 2016. Her videos A Journey (2006) and Nights and Days (2007) were screened as part of the symposium “Art at the Borders: Spatial Politics and Post-colonial Strategies in the Middle East,” co-organized by Fast Forward Festival and the Athens Biennial, Athens, May 28, 2016. “Conversation with Bernard Khoury in dialogue with Lamia Joreige,” organized by the Office of the Provost 150th Lecture Series, was held at AUB, May 3, 2016. She was a member of the jury that selected the shortlist for the architectural design competition organized by the Association for the Promotion and Exhibition of the Arts in Lebanon (APEAL) to build a new modern and contemporary art museum in Beirut. Ricardo Mbarkho gave the lecture “Cultural Business Incubators, Incubators for Democracy?” at the Joint Conference Incubinc/AMI & Roberto Cimetta Fund, Marseille, France, March 17, 2016. Ghassan Salhab is currently a guest of the Artists-in-Berlin Program of the DAAD.
