Qu`est-ce que tu aimes faire
Qu’est-ce que tu aimes faire ? Exercise 1: read the following texts and complete the information for each person. What do they love, like, dislike and hate doing? Teaching notes Exercise 1 is a reading comprehension, providing excellent practice in understanding opinions and reasons. Speaking game All of the cards should be printed out and (ideally) laminated. Students work in pairs or small groups. Each group has a set of opinion cards and subject cards. Both sets of cards are placed face down on the table in front of the students. One student then chooses at least one opinion card and one subject card (this can be varied according to the level of challenge you wish to incorporate). S/he then has to create a sentence using these cards e.g. J’aime faire du bricolage’. Extension: more able students can choose more cards and use connectives such as ‘par contre’. You could also encourage them to add reasons to their sentences.
