This course highlights on the strategic stakes of information handling during design and engineering processes : it makes a balance between industrial needs and the offers of software vendors. • Audits des besoins en SI d’ingénierie et états des lieux industriels • Introduction: from PDM to PLM: an historical perspective, main functions, a tool of productivity for delivering a product offer, the software market (offer and demand). • Expected functionalities of PLM tools : - Document management : vaulting, versionning, documents sharing, CAD files, - Product architecture : parts, components, classification, BOM, multiple viewpoints, product family management, configurators, - Product representation in the process industry (medecine, food..) - Communication with other software tools (CAD, MES, ERP, SCM, CRM). - Processes : requirement engineering, change management, V-cycle, CMMI… - Customised dévelopments: ergonomy, simulation, … • Performance Factors of PLM implementation. • PLM for process (samples in microélectronique industry, in automotive and aerospace). • Practical Work : Windchill Projectlink et Productview, a case study of collaborative product development. • Industrial survey : needs and state of the art EVALUATION Session 1 : travail et restitution audit industriel (50%), TP en groupe sur Windchill (50%) Session 2 : oral de contrôle Session 1 : industrial survey presentation (50%), group practical work with Windchill (50%) Session 2 : oral examination MOTS CLES / Key words Product lifecycle management, change management, product architecture, CMMI.
