Les Baptêmes
Les baptêmes ont lieu durant les messes dominicales. Il y a deux
sessions de préparation pour les parents. Veuillez téléphoner au
bureau avant de fixer la date du baptême.

Les mariages
Il faut contacter le prêtre au moins dix (10) mois d’avance pour
les préparations nécessaires.
Marriages
Please contact the Pastor at least ten (10) months in advance, to
allow time for the preparation.

6th Sunday in Ordinary Time
Objectif-Vie:
Mercredi des Cendres est un jour de pénitence et de
jeûne qui marque le début du Carême. Le but
essentiel du Carême est de se préparer pour la fête de
Pâques. Pendant ces quarante jours, qu’allons nous
faire ? Est-ce que je peux assister plus souvent à la
messe…même la semaine? Jeûner et se priver de
quelque chose que j’aime beaucoup…que ce soit la
nourriture, le cellulaire, le téléviseur, les sports etc.
Est-ce qu’en famille, on pourrait se rencontrer pour
prier ensemble, lire et partager un passage de la
Bible, aider des personnes en difficultés, visiter les
malades ou personnes seules. Alors commençons le
Carême sur le bon pied…venons en communauté
recevoir les cendres, mercredi le 18 février à 7h. En
écoutant le prêtre nous dire : « Convertissez-vous et
croyez à la Bonne Nouvelle. »

Un dépôt de 10,00 $ dû lors de l’inscription. Le
solde doit être payé au moment de votre arrivée
le vendredi soir.
Les formulaires d’application sont déposés sur les
tables aux entrées de l’église.

Le Carême
Le Carême débute mercredi. Le mercredi des
Cendres- nous rappelle de faire pénitence et jeûner!
Faut prier davantage, manger moins et bien se
préparer pour Pâques! Les cendres seront distribuées
aux messes le mercredi des Cendres.

Goal for the Week:
Ash Wednesday, February 18th is the first day of
Lent. Ash Wednesday is observed by fasting,
abstinence and repentance. Ash Wednesday and
Good Friday are days of abstinence…no meat.
Fasting: to limit ourselves to smaller meals and
nothing between meals. What are we going to give
up for Lent? Repentance: is an admission of guilt
and a promise or resolve not to repeat the offense…a
change in behavior. Let’s make this Lent our best
yet! Let’s begin by attending Mass with our
community on Wednesday Feb 18th at 7p.m.to be
marked with the ashes. What can we do as family
during Lent? Pray together, read a passage of the
Bible and share on it, help those in need, visit the
sick, the lonely. Through this religious experience,
believer’s describe it as strengthening their faith and
changing their lives!
Lent
Lent is a time to prepare our hearts to celebrate
Easter Sunday. Ash Wednesday is a day of fasting
and abstinence…no meat and smaller meals! It is
even a good idea to skip a meal that day. Come to be
marked with the ashes on Ash Wednesday. It is also
a good time to think of confessing our sins and
praying more!

Mass of Chrism Retreat for Young People
An annual retreat for secondary and post secondary
aged young people, this year the retreat is being
held at Mary Immaculate, London (1980 Trafalgar
St.), March 30, at 1 pm. Two Nashville Dominican
Sisters of St. Cecilia are attending this year to focus
on the readings of Holy Thursday, Good Friday and
the Easter Vigil. Dinner is served at 5 pm. After
dinner, everyone will go to St. Peter’s Cathedral for
the Mass of Chrism.

1] Prayer is not a "spare wheel" that you pull out
when in trouble, but it is a "steering wheel" that
directs the right path throughout.
2] So why is a car's windshield so large & the
rear view mirror so small? Because our PAST is
not as important as our FUTURE. So, look ahead
and move on.
3] Friendship is like a BOOK. It takes few
seconds to burn, but it takes years to
write.
4] All things in life are temporary. If going well
enjoy it, they will not last forever. If everything is
going wrong, don't worry, they can't last long
either.
5] Old Friends are Gold! New Friends are
Diamond! If you get a Diamond, don't forget the
Gold! Because to hold a Diamond, you always
need a Base of Gold!
6] Often when we lose hope and think this is the
end, GOD smiles from above and says, "Relax,
sweetheart, it's just a bend, not the end!
7] When GOD solves your problems, you have
faith in HIS abilities; when GOD doesn't solve
your problems HE has faith in your abilities.
8] A blind person asked St. Anthony: "Can there
be anything worse than losing eye sight?" He
replied: "Yes, losing your vision!"
9] When you pray for others, God listens to you
and blesses them, and sometimes, when you are
safe and happy, remember that someone has
prayed for you.
10] WORRYING does not take away tomorrow's
TROUBLES; it takes away today's PEACE.
