Directeur Malik Khalab 2004-2006 Activités de Recherche Depuis 15 ans mon activité de recherche est axée à l’interface de deux domaines : Diagnostic des Systèmes Hybrides et la Biologie Systémique. J’'ai commencé avec la modélisation des pièces anatomiques de l'être humain en utilisant des modèles inspirés de la nature : C60 (carbone 60) peut-être la première molécule de l'Univers et tous les fullerènes [I.14] dans la modélisation du visage. Ce type de représentation est de type Voronoi et permet d’éviter les singularités avec un avantage considérable quand l'animation est calculée par Eléments Finis. Ainsi une nouvelle méthode de construction de portaits-robot a été obtenue en utilisant la Transformée en Ondelettes [IV.8]. L’originalité de cette méthode est l’algorithme implicite de numéroter les sommets, qui est très important pour la compression et la transmission des fichiers de modèles graphiques 3D. Dans la même période, j'ai travaillé comme ingénieur en traitement d'images et traitement de signal et j'ai été le premier à présenter une méthode numérique pour la restauration des livres anciens reliés[V.68]. (Cité 27 fois et cité 3 fois par des brevets américains). Mon activité en tant que professeur adjoint à l'Ecole de Mines de Paris m'a familiarisé avec l'intégration de différentes sources vidéo dans une visiocasque mais aussi avec les sciences cognitives pour l'étude du comportement humain dans un simulateur de conduite. Cette recherche a ouvert mes horizons à l'intelligence artificielle. Par conséquent, à partir de 1999 ma recherche a été axée sur l'intelligence artificielle appliquée au traitement du signal [I.13]. Ce domaine de recherche a demandé deux choses: la représentation des connaissances et la fusion des sources d'information. Pour la représentation des connaissances, j’ai développé des méthodes d'analyse des séries chronologiques basées sur la Transformée en Ondelettes [I.7], mais aussi de nouvelles techniques de clustering basées sur la représentation floue de l'information [I.7]. Pour la fusion des sources d’information, qui nécessitait de développer des opérateurs de fusion permettant de donner une observation renforcée à ce système d'apprentissage automatique (machine learning) , j'ai proposé et analysé un nouvel opérateur flou qui a introduit une nouvelle classe d'opérateurs d'agrégation nommés « Opérateurs Renforcés Moyens » en respectant le travail de Yager [I. 6]. Ce nouvel opérateur est moins sensible au bruit, ce qui permettait de supprimer l'apparition des nouvelles classes. L'apparition de nouvelles classes, résultant des fonctions d’appartenance qui se chevauchent, a été résolu par des fonctions par palier et l'utilisation d'un opérateur renforcé. [Best Presentation Awards Session Mathematics and Theory : International Conference in Soft Computing and Intelligent System] L’intérêt pour la simulation et l’analyse des Systèmes Hybrides avec des applications à la Biologie Systémique m’a conduit à obtenir, avec le Prof. Inoue, le financement du Projet Franco-Japonais Knowledge-based Discovery en biologie des systèmes. Nous nous sommes intéressés à la dynamique hybride qui découle de l'interaction de la dynamique des états continus et de la dynamique à états discrets. Deux approches ont été développées dans ce projet: les transformations opératorielles VII.27 et l'inférence logique I.1 . Si le premier approche donne de bons résultats pour les petits systèmes modélisés de type bioréacteur, le deuxième s’intéresse d’avantage à la découverte des connaissances biologiques à partir d’un raisonnement abductif dans des grands systèmes. Un des axes de ma recherche vise à déterminer (qualitativement et quantitativement) les points-clés de l’adaptation métabolique et doit aboutir, à terme, à une capacité de prédiction particulièrement recherchée dans un contexte de génie métabolique. L’objectif est également de concilier les données dynamiques obtenues pour le métabolisme à celles générées par des approches de transcriptome et de protéome dans le cadre d’une approche de biologie des systèmes. Si l’inférence de logique classique A —> B, est bien décrite formellement, avec toutes les « bonnes » propriétés mathématiques (tautologie, non contradiction, transitivité, contraposée, modus ponens ...), la description des propriétés formelles de la causalité, est moins simple. La causalité ne peut pas être vue comme une relation logique classique. Ces règles révisables et avec exceptions sont bien connues en Intelligence Artificielle. Elles ont donné lieu, en particulier, aux logiques non monotones et aux théories de la révision. D’un autre côté et de manière plus technique, on retrouve ici tous les problèmes classiques qui se posent quand on veut essayer de formaliser et d'utiliser la négation par échec dans des langages de programmation tels que Prolog ou Solar. Pour donner les liens entre nos relations causales cause et bloque, dans un langage classique (calcul propositionnel ou logique du premier ordre) il faut donc faire deux choses : 4 - décrire les propriétés internes aux relations cause et bloque - décrire les liens entre ces relations et la logique classique Tout ceci en prenant en compte le problème de l’incertain et du révisable. Ainsi, à l’Ecole Doctorale Systèmes, j’ai assuré le cours sur le Transformée en Ondelettes ENAC Toulouse Pendant l’année universitaire 2004-2009 j’ai assuré des TD de Recherche Opérationnelle pour les élèves ingénieurs. Depuis 2010 j’enseigne l’automatique avancée et l’Automatique Echantillonnée (cours, TD, projet). Etudiant en thèse de Doctorat à l’Université de La Rochelle et en tant que ingénieur d’études, j’ai pu, durant cinq années consécutives, assurer un enseignement en Informatique Industrielle avec un accent sur les systèmes temps réel.
