First assigning priority to neutrality, Denmark tends to assert more and more its
position on international matters; hence its action in Libya, Lebanon, Malia,
Afghanistan and its participation to the international coalition against Daesh.
Crime level
Crime level is globally decreasing. Violent actions are rare. However, the rate of
burglary, especially in the surroundings of Copenhagen, remains the highest in
Europe. Petty crimes occur in cities and in the capital. Pickpockets are very
actives particularly during summer.
Travel
Roads network is well maintained and thanks to a developed train network many
domestic connections are allowed.
The international airport of Copenhagen kastrup is the main airport of the country
and operates international and domestic flights. Billund airport is also very active.
SAS, Cimber Air and ScanCon Airways operate domestic flights.
Islands are joined by ferries often interrupted during winter.
