Today, SPACEBEL is in the international mix of small satellite system suppliers. The company operates in the Space and Earth monitoring applications sectors, serving Space agencies, government departments, major aerospace companies, European institutions as well as the commercial market. Our skills range from the mission definition and analysis of Earth observation microsatellites, over the design, development, integration, validation of IT systems for the Space industry to the development of geospatial information systems. The company has been growing steadily and employs today over 80 people in its offices situated in Liège, Hoeilaart and Toulouse. Your Challenge Given the expansion of our Ground Segment activities, we are looking for a project manager (f/m) with university education in software engineering and experience with C/C++ and Java-based design and development. You will work on our site in Hoeilaart and perform the following tasks: Lead a project team of software engineers; Initiate and contribute to the technical development and follow-up of the project; Be the focal contact point for the customer and subcontractor organizations; Report to the Business Unit management based in Hoeilaart. The project team will be integrated in a larger existing team responsible for the development of Internet-based Ground Segment application. Your Profile o Education: you have a civil engineer or master degree in software engineering or computer science 3 years experience in software design and development Essential skills: o Leading and management of a small size software project (Agile/Scrum knowledge is an asset) o C/C++ and Java EE design and development o Configuration Management & Continuous Integration: Git, Subversion, Jenkins, Redmine (Sonar is an asset). Software design using UML 2.0 Desirable skills: o ISO RM-ODP or ECSS standards o Bid processes and offer preparation o Experience in Web Services technology (XML, REST, WSDL, SOAP, UDDI, etc.) o Other programming languages such as Python, Tcl. Languages: you speak and write English.
