1. DEFINITION
This event is part of the Coupe du Québec calendar. It will be held in accordance with the
regulations of Karting Québec 2012, ASN Canada DIA 2012 (karting) and these supplementary
regulations. Karting Québec sanctions the event. Drivers must hold a Karting Québec
competition license of the year or any other license recognized by it. Classes on the program of

authorize the race.

The race will be counterclockwise.

3. PADDOCK
The paddocks will open from Thursday only. Employees will be on the site to guide you.
Please respect their directives.
The drivers are in charge of keeping their parking spot clean, including the collection of waste.
Barrels for toxic liquids (oil, gas) and garbage will be available. Anyone who does not keep his
spot clean may be forbidden from registering for a subsequent event.
4. ELIGIBILITY
The drivers have to detain a competition license of the current year or quite other license
recognized by Karting Quebec, fill all the required forms (inscription, technical passport) and pay
the required fees.
5. REGISTRATION (Practice and race)
The registration will be online from August 31 to September 7, on Karting Grand-Mère
website (www.cikgm.com). For practice paiement (Friday and Saturday), you’ll be able to
do it from 8h AM.

The registration gives one (1) driver access and one (1) mechanic access.
A 20$ discount for the Coupe du Quebec is granted by additional registration for the drivers
joining more than a category or for the registration of the other drivers of same family and living
under the same roof.
The racing fees must be completely paid before the beginning of therace for which the driver has
registered for. If a cheque is discovered to be without funds upon cashing, it will be deemed that
the driver did not take part in the race, his results will be erased and the competitor will have to
hand back, where necessary, any trophy or received prize. If the cheque covers more than a
registration, all the drivers covered by this cheque will have the same penalty.
A class containing more than 35 participants will see imposing a first selection of 28 drivers in
qualification and a 2nd selection by a race of resit of 10 laps, which will determine 35
participating drivers in pre-finale and in finale.

6. ACCREDITATION
The drivers have to come at the accreditation personally at Karting Grand-Mère restaurant,
present their license, pay the required fees and sign the waiver. Every person who’s on the
site (Officials, organizers, drivers, team members, volunteers, journalists) have to sign
the waiver.

**Please note that the registration on Sunday morning will have a 20$ extra fee. The
registration will be open for the pre-registered, the registration and for waiver signature for the
mechanics and officials, from 7h15 to 8h00 AM.*
For drivers less than 18 years old, the driver has to sign a special waiver. The drivers and the
mechanics HAVE to come at the registration hours to sign the waiver. Each registration gives a
pass for a mechanic.
7. TECHNICAL INSPECTION
Before the reheating session, every competitor has to make sure to hand to the technical
inspector his VOLUNTARY DECLARATION OF TECHNICAL PRE-INSPECTION duly
completed and signed. On reception of the voluntary declaration duly completed and signed by
the driver, the technical inspector will hand back a sticker to the driver, who must be affixed to
the frontal panel of the kart.
Only the drivers having affixed their sticker will be admitted to the track for the practice. Any time
during day, the technical inspector can make a technical inspection and make sure of the
conformity of the equipment and of this declaration. You have to plan a reasonable time before
your trial session to allow the technical inspector to proceed to the inspection of your equipment
if he wishes it, if not; you cannot enter on the track.
The technical inspector will receive the declarations the day from the competition as from 7:15
AM. In case of non-compliance, in case the inspection would be made before a session, the
driver will not be admitted on the track as long as he will not correct the not corresponding
element. In case the inspection would be made after a session, the normal penalties will apply
(exclusion from the round).
Only the driver and the mechanics are admitted at technical inspection and at the grid.

8. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
The regulation of Karting Quebec applies for all the categories.
8.1
Fuel for all the categories
The fuel for all the classes has to be the fuel bought at the track at 2$ per liter; It will be
controlled by a device of appropriate control. Go to the restaurant for service.
For the CKAS, the choice of the fuel is free. (See Annex 1 for more information about the class
CKAS)
8.2
New tires
The new tires must be bought on the spot with the organizer. The distribution of tires will be
made from 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM. Only the dry tires identified by the organizer will be authorized.
A coupon to get your tires will be handed to you after payment during your accreditation. The
organizer reserves the right to identify worn tires to take part in the event. The driver has to
make mark his tires before the session of qualification.
9. REHEATING OF ENGINES
The reheating of engines is allowed only in the arean planned for that purpose , at the entrance
of the grid and only for 10 seconds. On the grid, the reheating of engines is only allowed after
the 1 minute signal.
10. TROPHIES
Trophies will be handed to the drivers of every class ending in one of the first three positions in
finale. Medals will be handed to all the participants of the class Micro-Max not having ended
among the first 3 places.

15. SCHEDULE
Saturday, drivers will be entitled to trial sessions from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm. All the classes to the
program will be entitled to a period of practice Sunday morning before their session of
qualification. Every driver participating at the period of practice must be beforehand registered.
The qualifications will be made by class.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE WILL BE $20 OF EXTRA FEE FOR THE REGISTRATION ON SUNDAY.
A class has to have a minimum of 4 drivers; otherwise the class can be coupled with the other
one.

ANNEXE 1
RÈGLEMENTS PARTICULIER
Classe Honda open, Monaco
Honda Open
1. L’apparence extérieure du moteur doit être un GX200 (clone permis) ou un GX160 et avec dérogation
un GX270.
2. Le carburateur d'origine est obligatoire pour les GX200 (clone permis). Le carburateur de GX200 est
permis sur un moteur GX160.
3. L'ajout de matériel (époxy, colle. silicone etc.) pour boucher un carburateur défoncé par
l'agrandissement du venturi est permis.
4. Un ''spacer'' de 3/4 de pouces maximum pourra être ajouté entre le carburateur et la tête de moteur, qui
sert à recevoir la ''pulse fitting''
5. Aucun type de suralimentation n'est permis.
6. Règlementation sur le poids :
1. GX200 : 330 livres, pilote avec équipements et kart
2. GX270 : 430 livres, pilote avec équipements et kart
7. Aucun système à vitesse variable.
8. Silencieux obligatoire avec grille, relié au moteur ou châssis afin d’éviter d’être un projectile
pour les autres.
9. Les numéros sur les karts sont obligatoires sur les 4 cotés du kart.
10. Choix de pneus libre.
11. Essence de pompe libre à l’exception du méthanol.
12. Tout système de différentiel sur l'essieu arrière est interdit.
13. Largeur arrière n’est pas sujette à la règlementation.
