Vous venez d’acheter Xo SYSTEM nouvel ensemble complet audio vidéo Cabasse
dans la continuité de la technologie SCS Cabasse (Sources à Cohérence Spatiale) et nous
vous remercions de votre confiance. Xo SYSTEM se compose de 5 petits satellites
coaxiaux 2 voies à associer au caisson de graves Xo SYSTEM dédié. Xo SYSTEM avec
ses haut-parleurs coaxiaux est un système audio vidéo complet alliant miniaturisation,
modularité et performances acoustiques. Avec Xo SYSTEM vous passerez librement d’une
écoute en configuration 2.1 - dédiée à la stéréo - à une écoute en configuration 5.1 dédiée
à l’audio vidéo - reproduction 5 canaux.
Le numéro de série de votre système se situe à l’arrière du caisson de graves Xo SYSTEM,
ce même numéro est attribué à l’ensemble des 5 satellites de Xo SYSTEM.
Merci de prendre quelques instants pour la lecture de cette notice d’installation. Vous y
trouverez des informations essentielles pour l’installation et l’utilisation de votre système.
Vous pourrez ainsi en tirer plus de plaisir et profiter de l’intégralité de ses performances.
Nous vous suggérons de ranger soigneusement votre notice d’installation, votre facture
d’achat et votre bon de garantie pour pouvoir consulter ces documents ultérieurement.
DEBALLAGE
Enlever toutes les agrafes et ouvrir largement le carton puis sortez un à un les
différents éléments de Xo SYSTEM.
Si l’un des éléments du carton vous semble endommagé, ne pas l’utiliser, le replacer dans
le carton d’origine et contactez immédiatement votre revendeur.
Conservez votre emballage pour un éventuel transport ultérieur de votre système.
Manipulez avec précaution les 10,5 kg du caisson de graves pour ne pas vous blesser.
Afin de réduire les risques d’incendie ou de choc électrique, ne pas exposer vos
enceintes à la pluie ou à l’humidité.
Afin d’éviter tous risques d’asphyxie les emballages plastiques doivent être placés hors
de porté des enfants.

INSTALLATION
Montage des différents supports
Xo SYSTEM est un ensemble entièrement modulaire pour une intégration
parfaite à votre lieux d’écoute.
Les satellites sont livrés montés avec le support à poser afin de
placer les satellites sur un téléviseur ou une étagère. Ce support
est démontable, une fois démonté vous pouvez choisir 2 autres
modes de fixation : la version sur pied ou la version murale.
En fixation murale et par soucis d’esthétique, votre câble de
connexion pourra passer au-dessus de la fixation ou à
l’intérieur de celle-ci.
En fixation sur pied, votre câble de connexion passera à l’intérieur du pied pour se
connecter ensuite au satellite. Aussi il est important de bien respecter le schéma de
montage du pied afin de vous faciliter le passage du câble de connexion à l’intérieur
du pied.

Emplacement du système
Les satellites de Xo SYSTEM étant tous
identiques ils peuvent être utilisés indifféremment sur
n’importe quel canal. Tous les satellites sont blindés
magnétiquement de façon à prévenir toute interférence
avec l’image de votre téléviseur, ils peuvent donc être
placés à proximité de tout écran.
Les satellites avant gauche et avant droit doivent être
dirigés vers la zone d’écoute et placés de chaque coté
de l’image, une distance comprise entre 2 et 5 m doit
séparer les 2 satellites.
Le satellite central doit être placée le plus près possible de l'image : au dessus, en dessous
ou directement posé sur votre téléviseur. Placer le satellite à la verticale de centre de
l’image pour une cohésion et une précision parfaite entre les dialogues et I'image.
Les satellites arrières doivent être placés à hauteur d’oreille ou plus haut si possible et
légèrement en arrière de la zone d'écoute.
Le caisson de graves doit être placé dans la zone d’écoute avant. Pour obtenir le meilleur
résultat, il est toujours nécessaire de faire des essais d’emplacement du caisson de graves
en fonction de l’acoustique de votre pièce. Afin de prévenir toute interférence avec l’image
de votre téléviseur, placer le caisson de graves Xo SYSTEM à au moins 0,6 m de votre
téléviseur.
Raccordement des enceintes
Avant d’effectuer tout raccordement, éteindre votre amplificateur et votre caisson de
graves et les débrancher du secteur.
Ne jamais utiliser de câbles détériorés, des contacts et chocs électriques pourraient
endommager votre système de manière irréversible.
Il est impératif avant tout branchement de respecter la mise
en phase en reliant les bornes +/rouges de l’amplificateur à
la borne +/rouge des satellites. Procéder ensuite de la même
façon pour les bornes -/noires.
La connexion des satellites s‘effectue avec un bouton
poussoir qui une fois relâché verrouille votre connexion.
L’utilisation du sommateur de graves ∑ Cabasse est indispensable au bon fonctionnement
de Xo SYSTEM, aussi il est nécessaire de respecter les consignes de branchement cicontre.
3 câbles couleur cristal de 6 m permettent de relier les sorties " centre ", " avant gauche "
et " avant droit " de votre amplificateur audio vidéo aux satellites respectivement placés au
centre, sur l’avant gauche et l’avant droit.

Le sommateur de graves ∑ Cabasse et les 2 prises CINCH RCA de 6 m seront utilisés
pour le branchement du caisson de graves. Les fréquences graves émises en sotie
des 5 canaux de votre amplificateur sont prélevées directement à la sortie de
l’amplificateur par le sommateur de graves ∑ Cabasse et dirigées grâce à l’une des
prises CINCH RCA du sommateur de graves vers l’entrée ∑ IN du caisson de graves.
Pour le sommateur de graves ∑, les cordons étant banalisés, il n’est pas nécessaire
de les repérer par voie. Il faut absolument respecter la polarité (+/rouge,-/noir) en
connectant les 5 paires de câbles du sommateur de graves en parallèle avec les
câbles reliant l’amplificateur aux satellites.
L’entrée LFE IN du caisson de graves est reliée à la sortie SUBWOOFER / LFE de
l’amplificateur audio vidéo à l’aide de la seconde prise CINCH RCA.

"arrière droit “de votre amplificateur audio vidéo aux satellites respectivement placés
sur l’arrière gauche et l’arrière droit.

Vérifiez tous les raccordements effectués sur les satellites, le caisson de graves et
l’amplificateur audio vidéo. Assurez-vous que chaque enceinte est raccordée
convenablement en fonction de sa position dans la pièce. Vérifiez que tous les
conducteurs sont bien en phase (+/rouge dans +/rouge et -/noir dans -/noir). Un câble
incorrect peut entraîner une perte totale de signal. Une fois cette vérification faite vous
pouvez brancher votre amplificateur audio vidéo et le caisson de graves sur le secteur.
Afin de prévenir les risques de choc électrique, veillez à enfoncer complètement
les prises du cordon d’alimentation reliant le caisson de graves au secteur.

REGLAGES
Réglage du caisson de graves
Veiller à bien positionner le commutateur de secteur 115V/230V sur le voltage adéquat.
Le commutateur marche/arrêt du caisson de graves dispose de 3 positions :
ON :
Marche permanente.
AUTO : Marche automatique. Le système se met automatiquement sur ON ou OFF en
fonction de la présence ou de l’absence de signal venant de l’amplificateur.
Pour arrêter le système il suffit donc d’éteindre l’amplificateur.
OFF : Arrêt.
Mettre le commutateur de marche sur AUTO ou ON.
CROSSOVER : régler le potentiomètre sur 200 Hz.
VOLUME : Le réglage de niveau s’effectue suivant les besoins. Le réglage moyen est
obtenu avec le potentiomètre VOLUME en position " 12 H ". Pour un réglage optimum de
ce niveau, nous vous conseillons de l’effectuer à partir d’une source stéréo (CD). A l’aide
du "test tone" de votre amplificateur audio vidéo 5.1, ajuster le niveau du canal
SUBWOOFER / LFE.
PHASE : En général il faut positionner le potentiomètre sur 0°, cependant nous vous
conseillons les 2 positions suivantes:
1/ Régler le potentiomètre sur 0° lorsque le caisson et les satellites avant sont positionnés
sur un arc de cercle à équidistance de la zone d’écoute.
2/ Régler le potentiomètre sur 180° lorsque le caisson et positionné à 1,50 m en avant ou
en arrière de l’arc de cercle formé par les satellites.

Si vous avez un problème avec Xo SYSTEM, éteindre votre source audio et
rechercher la solution dans le tableau ci-dessous. Si le problème persiste, prenez
contact avec votre revendeur Cabasse ou notre service consommateur.

SOLUTIONS
Le système ne fonctionne pas
- Assurez-vous que l’amplificateur et le caisson de graves sont
bien raccordés au secteur et en position ON ou AUTO.
- Assurez-vous que la source est bien sélectionnée sur
l’amplificateur (vidéo, CD, DVD, tuner…).
Pas de son
- Vérifiez les raccordements des enceintes.
- Mettre le caisson de graves sur ON ou AUTO.
- Assurez-vous que les connexions entrées sorties numériques
entre lecteur DVD et amplificateur sont correctes et faites par
câble coaxial ou optique.
Pas assez ou trop de graves
- Approchez le caisson de graves du mur ou d’un angle de la
pièce pour augmenter le niveau de l’extrême grave.
- Eloignez le caisson de graves du mur ou d’un angle de la pièce
pour diminuer le niveau de l’extrême grave.
- Ajuster le potentiomètre VOLUME du caisson de graves
- Ajuster le contrôle LFE de votre amplificateur
Pas de son surround
- Vérifiez que les réglages de votre amplificateur audio vidéo sont
correctes.
NETTOYAGE DES ENCEINTES
Votre Xo SYSTEM peut-être nettoyé à l’aide d’un linge doux, ne pas utiliser de
détergeant ni de liquide pouvant couler à l’intérieur des enceintes.
N’utiliser aucun solvant, produit chimique ou solution de nettoyage contenant de
l’alcool de l’ammoniaque ou un abrasif.

Le tissu de protection des satellites peut être nettoyé à l’aide d’un aspirateur si nécessaire,
attention le haut-parleur coaxial du satellite étant très proche de la grille de protection, une
aspiration à trop forte puissance pourrait endommager votre satellite.

Pour le bénéfice de cette garantie, il est impératif que le certificat de garantie dûment
complété avec la copie de la facture d'achat du matériel soient retournés sous enveloppe
dans les 60 jours à compter de la date d'achat du matériel au distributeur officiel CABASSE
du pays d'achat. Passé ce délai cette garantie ne sera pas prise en compte. La garantie
s‘applique dès lors qu’elle a bien été enregistrée par le distributeur officiel CABASSE du

system in the continuity of Cabasse SCS technology (Spatially Coherent Source). Xo
SYSTEM is a pack with 5 small coaxial satellites and a dedicated subwoofer, it is a complete
audio video system combining acoustic quality, miniaturization, modularity and
performances. With Xo SYSTEM you will freely listen a 2.1 configuration dedicated for
stereo, to a 5.1 configuration dedicated for audio video – 5 channels reproduction.
The serial number of your system is at the back of Xo SYSTEM subwoofer, this same
number is allotted to the 5 Xo SYSTEM satellites.
Please take the time to follow this owner's guide carefully. It will help you set up and operate
your system properly, and enjoy all of its advanced features.
We suggest you save your owner's guide, your purchase invoice and your guarantee
certificate for future reference.
UNPACKING
Remove any staples from the opened carton flaps, leave one by one Xo SYSTEM
components.
If the speakers or the subwoofer appear damaged, do not use them. Repack everything in
the original packing and contact your authorized Cabasse dealer immediately.
We suggest you to retain the packing for future use.
Xo SYSTEM subwoofer weighs 23,2 pounds (10,5 kg). Use good lifting practice to avoid
injury.
To avoid electric shock or fire hazards, do not expose speakers to rain or moisture.
To avoid danger of suffocation, keep the plastic bags that wrap these speakers out of
the reach of children.

SETTING UP
Assembly of the different supports
The satellites are delivered with the bookshelf support to place the
satellites on a television set or a rack. This support is
dismountable, once dismounted you can choose 2 other modes of
fixing: the stand version or the wall version.
ENGLISH
Xo SYSTEM is an entirely modular system for a perfect integration in your
listening room.
On wall version and for aesthetics, connection cables can
pass above or inside the fixing.
On stand version connection cable will pass inside the stand to connect then to the
satellite. Therefore it is important to strictly respect the assembly of the stand to make
easier the passage of the cable inside the stand support.

Positionning of Xo SYSTEM
Xo SYSTEM satellites have all the same
technical features, they can be used on any channel. All
the satellites are magnetically shielded to prevent
interference with the image of your television set, they
can thus be placed near any screen.
Front left and right satellites must be directed towards
the listening area and placed on either side of the screen
with at least a distance of 2 and 5 m (7 ft and 16 ft)
between the 2 satellites.
The centre satellite should be placed as close as possible to the screen: on the top, below,
or directly on your television set. Place the satellite at the vertical of the screen for a perfect
cohesion and precision between dialogues and picture.
Rear satellites should be placed against the side walls, at listening height or higher if
possible and slightly behind the listening area.
The subwoofer should be placed in the front listening area. To get the best result, it is always
necessary to carry out tests according to the acoustics of the room. To prevent interference
with the screen of your television set, place the subwoofer at least 0,6 m/2 ft of your
television set.
Connections
Before making any connections turn off your receiver and unplug it from the outlet. Not
doing so may result in damage to your system.
Never use broken or frayed wiring, which can result in electrical shock or damage to
your system.
It is imperative before any connection to respect the setting
in phase by connecting the terminals +/red of the amplifier to
the terminal +/red of the satellites. Proceed then in the same
way for terminals -/black.
Connection of the satellites is carried out with a push button
which once slackened locks your connection.
The use of the ∑ Cabasse module is essential to the correct operation of Xo SYSTEM,
therefore it is necessary to respect the following connection instructions.
Use 3 crystal cables of 6 m/20 ft to connect the “centre”, " front left " and " front right " output
of the audio video amplifier to the centre, front left and right left satellites.
Use 2 crystal cables of 15 m/49 ft to connect the “rear left” and “rear right” outputs of the
audio video amplifier to the “rear left” and “rear right” satellites.

The ∑ Cabasse module and the 2 black coaxial cables with CINCH RCA plugs
(2 x 6 m/20ft) will be used for the connection of the subwoofer. Low frequencies
coming from the 5 channels of your amplifier are taken directly from the amplifier with
the ∑ Cabasse module and directed with one of the black coaxial cables with CINCH
RCA to the input ∑ IN of the subwoofer. For the ∑ Cabasse module, cables are
standardized, they can be connected to any speakers outputs of the amplifier.
Then connect input LFE IN of the subwoofer to the output SUBWOOFER / LFE of the
audio video amplifier using the second black coaxial cable with CINCH RCA.

Check all the connections carried out on the satellites, the subwoofer and the audio
video amplifier. Ensure that each satellite is connected according to its position in the
room. Check that all the satellites are well in phase (+/red in +/red and -/black in
-/black). Once this checking made you can connect your audio video amplifier and the
subwoofer to the sector.
To prevent the risks of electric shock, take care to completely insert plugs of sector
cords.

ADJUSTING
Subwoofer adjusting
Take care of positioning the sector switch 115V/230V on the right position according to your
country.
The switch on/off of the subwoofer has 3 positions:
ON
AUTO: Automatic, the system is put automatically on ON or OFF according to the
the presence of signal coming from the amplifier.
OFF
Put the switch on/off on AUTO or ON position.
CROSSOVER: adjust the potentiometer on 200 Hz.
VOLUME: The adjustment of the volume will depend upon room positioning, type of
amplifiers… With Xo SYSYEM the average position is on " 12 am ". For an optimum
adjustment of the volume, we advise you to carry out it starting from a stereo source (CD).
Then use the " test tone " of your audio amplifier video 5.1 to adjust the level of channel
SUBWOOFER / LFE.
PHASE: usually it is necessary to position the potentiometer on 0°, however there is 2
positions: 0° and 180 °.
1 / Adjust the potentiometer on 0° when the subwoofer and the satellites are positioned at
the same distance of the listening area.
2 / Adjust the potentiometer on 180° when the subwoofer is positioned 1,50 m/5 ft ahead or
behind the satellites.

If you have a problem with your Xo SYSTEM 5.1 speaker system, turn off your
sound source and try the solutions below. If you still have a problem, contact your
Cabasse dealer to arrange for service.

CLEANING THE SPEAKERS
The cabinets of Xo SYSTEM speakers may be cleaned with a soft damp cloth.
Do not use any sprays near the system or allow liquids to spill into any openings.
Also, do not use any solvents, chemicals, or cleaning solutions containing alcohol,
ammonia, or abrasives.

The grille assemblies on the satellites may be carefully vacuumed, if necessary. Please note
that the drivers are located directly behind the grille cloth, and are easily damaged if

The guarantee conditions are indicated on the certificate of guarantee delivered
with Xo SYSTEM.
Conditions for guarantee application
To benefit from this guarantee, it is imperative to send back the certificate of guarantee duly
filled with the copy of the original purchase invoice within 60 days after purchase to the
official CABASSE distributor in the country of purchase. Passed this time this guarantee will
not be registered. The guarantee applies only if duly recorded by the official CABASSE

distributor of the country of purchase and if the owner is able to present the certificate
of guarantee or a copy of this one with the copy of the original purchase invoice.
CABASSE guarantee CABASSE is transferable provided that it was well recorded by
the official CABASSE distributor of the country of purchase and that the new owner
can provide the certificate of guarantee or a copy of this one with the copy of the
original purchase invoice. The guarantee is limited to the repair of the equipment.
Neither transportation, nor any other costs, nor any risk for removal, transportation or
installation of products is covered with this guarantee.
The guarantee cannot in any case give right to a recovery, a refunding or the payment
of damages.
CABASSE conditions of guarantee implies shipment to the authorised dealers and
service centres of the speakers protected by their original packing. We advise you to
preserve it under good conditions.

This guarantee covers all manufacturing defects of the material. The following cases
are not covered:
- deteriorations resulting from incorrect installation, connection or packing
- deteriorations resulting from any use other than the correct use described in the
user’s manual
- deteriorations caused by faulty or unsuitable ancillary equipment
- deteriorations resulting from: accidents, lightning, water, fire heat, war, public
disturbances or any other cause beyond the reasonable control of CABASSE
distributors
- deteriorations resulting from the intervention of an unauthorised person not entitled
by Cabasse or its network
- products whose CABASSE serial number has been altered, deleted, removed or
made illegible
