Job Title: Postdoctoral position in experimental physics on molecular nanomaterials Job Description Starting date: October‐December 2010 Qualifications: Ph.D. degree in Condensed Matter Physics, Physical Chemistry Project term: 12 months Location: Institute of Physics of Rennes, University of Rennes 1, FRANCE A postdoctoral position in experimental nanophysics on organic nanomaterials is available at the Institute of Physics of Rennes (http://www.ipr.univ‐rennes1.fr/). We are looking for a candidate with a Ph.D. in the field of physics or physical‐
chemistry and a prior experience with soft‐materials and characterization techniques (neutron scattering, dielectric spectroscopy, NMR, optical spectroscopies). An experience in liquid‐crystals or molecular nanomaterials will be considered as an advantage. This project addresses the physics of discotic columnar liquid crystals (DCLC) nanowires confined at the nanometer scale in porous templates for use in organic electronics related applications. The activity is developed in the frame of a French‐German network comprising 6 academic partners and supported by national funding agencies (ANR and DFG). The initial appointment will be for 12 months.
