FLAVOURS AND TRADITIONS
5 days/4 nights
What awaits you...
Fun, humorous tour of a snail farm, covering rearing,
fattening, mating, egg-laying and hatching.
The Namur Citadel, one of Europe’s largest fortresses. The
Citadel stands testament to centuries of occupation and
is a stunning example of military architecture.
Charleville-Mézières, city of art and culture. Explore the
historic centre, the Ducal Square, the Mézières Ramparts
and the Notre Dame d’Espérance Basilica.
Sedan Castle, Europe’s largest mediaeval fortress! Spend a
night as a prince or princess, staying at a specially created
hotel within the fortified compound itself.
Bouillon Castle, the oldest and most interesting vestige
of Belgium’s feudal past. The castle owes its famous reputation to the crusader Godfrey of Bouillon.
Orval Abbey, almost 1,000 years old. Visitors to the abbey are struck by the sense of serenity and charm that
characterises this place. Standing alongside the abbey
is the Auberge de l’Ange Gardien, which houses a special
treasure – “Petite Orval”, a unique beer that is not available anywhere else!
Clervaux and the “The Family of Man” exhibition
recorded in the UNESCO Memory of the World Register.
A professional photographer will be on-hand to give you a
few tips to help turn your shots into works of art!
Liege, the “ardent City”, standing on the cusp of tradition and modernity. Explore the city’s age-old neighbourhoods, its Calatrava-designed train station, its monuments
and its unique atmosphere, and find out for yourself why
its residents are renowned for their friendliness.
The Museum of Walloon Life with its unique collection
of ancient and modern artefacts. Learn more about the
secrets of Wallonia and its people.
The Val-Dieu Abbey brewery, which brews beers based on
age-old recipes passed down from monk-brewers.
A meeting with local producers from Herve Country, a
plateau of a thousand flavours. Discover how the famous
Herve cheese and Sirop de Liege are made!
