PROCEDURE
ON-LINE ANNUAL REGISTRATION
2016-2017
PURPOSE
Annual registration is a professional obligation for members if they want to remain entered on the Roll of the OIQ. The registration
period takes place every year between February 1 and March 31.
To stay entered on the Roll of the OIQ, members must do the following within the prescribed period of time:
1. complete the annual registration process;
2. pay their membership dues.
This procedure allows you to complete the annual registration process on line and make your payment by credit card right away.
Payments by cheque or debit card are also possible through the Web site of their banking institution.
List of browsers supported by the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec
• Internet Explorer 7.0 and higher;
• Firefox 3.6 and higher;
• Chrome 12.0 and higher;
• Safari 5.0 and higher.

Go to the OIQ Web site at www.oiq.qc.ca.

Click on “My portal” on the front line of the site.

Log in to the Web site of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec with your member number and password.* Then click on “Log on”.
*If you do not have a password, please call us at 514 845-6141, extension 2366.
Once you have logged in to the on-line services of the OIQ, you will be in a secure environment. Generally, a Web site is encrypted
if the Web address contains the letters "https://" and if the locked padlock symbol appears in the lower right hand corner of your
browser.

Click on the third option (“Annual registration”) from the menu on the left. This option is available only during the annual
registration period, which occurs every year from February 1 to March 31.

Complete your annual registration by answering the questions.

When reach the “Payment” tab, you will have to choose your payment method and click on “Next.”
Four methods are possible:
A. Credit card
B. Bank payment (through the Web site of your banking institution)
C. Cheque
D. Cheque from your employer
Please note that only credit card payments will be made instantantly. All other payment methods, such as bank payments and
cheques sent in the mail, will take time to process. For that reason, you should make sure that we receive your payment by no
later than March 31.

METHODS OF PAYMENT
A. CREDIT CARD
You can pay by credit card if you have a Visa or Mastercard. In that case, we will ask you for the following information:

The type of card (Visa or Mastercard).
The cardholder’s name.
The card number.
The security code.*
The expiry date.

B. BANK PAYMENT
Bank payments are payments made through the Web site of your banking institution. Only bank payments made through that
Web site are accepted. Payments made from an ATM or at the counter of your banking institution are not accepted.
Payments made using this payment method are not instantaneous. At the end of the registration process, an invoice will be
displayed. It is important to note the invoice number because you will need it afterward when you go to the Web site of your
banking institution to pay the invoice. You will have to choose "ORDRE DES INGÉNIEURS DU QUÉBEC” from list of most frequent
suppliers.
You can pay your invoice on the Web site of the following banking institutions:

C. CHEQUE
You can complete your registration on line and send a cheque by no later than March 31. Please make sure that your member
number is written on the cheque.
D. CHEQUE FROM YOUR EMPLOYER
Your employer may pay your annual membership dues for you. However, you must make sure that you complete the annual
registration process, print out a copy of the “Summary” page and give it to your employer. This page includes a detailed invoice.
Then, your employer has to send the copy of that page and your payment to the OIQ. Please note that is your responsibility to
make sure that your employer sends the payment to us by no later than March 31.
Cheques should be made out to “Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec” and sent to the following address:
