Limato s’est imposé dans le Qatar Prix de la Foret sponsorisé par RMC (Groupe 1), dimanche à
Chantilly. Le début de l’épreuve a été animé par Karar, avec Birchwood et le futur lauréat dans
son sillage. Dans la phase finale, quand l’ouverture s’est faite, Limato a très nettement créé la
différence. Il s’impose avec trois longueurs d’avance. Kara est deuxième. Suédois se classe
troisième à moins d’une longueur.

Henry Candy (entraîneur):
« La course s'est passée à merveille. Il a eu un bon leader et il a pu galoper bien détendu. Il gagne
très facilement ! C'est fantastique de pouvoir entraîner un cheval comme lui, cela donne une
raison de se lever le matin. Pour la suite de son programme, nous allons voir comment il
récupère. La Breeders' Cup est possible, et personnellement, je préfèrerais le Mile au Sprint. »
KARAR (2e)
Francis-Henri Graffard (entraîneur):
« Cette deuxième place, c'est comme une victoire derrière Limato qui était intouchable. Karar
montre qu'il est revenu à son très bon niveau et, le matin, je le trouvais déjà de mieux en mieux
au fil des jours. Il a absolument besoin d'une bonne piste. Il a une belle action en bon terrain.
J’espérais qu'il puisse aller devant, malgré son numéro 12 à la corde, car au vu des résultats
précédents aujourd'hui, il est très difficile de revenir de l'arrière. Ce qui m'a beaucoup plu, c'est
qu'après avoir été déposé par Limato, Karar n'a rien lâché et est reparti. »

LIMATO TOO CLASSY FOR HIS RIVALS IN THE QATAR PRIX DE LA FORET
SPONSORED BY RMC
Limato won the Qatar Prix de la Foret sponsored by RMC (Group 1), on Sunday at Chantilly.
Karar led in the early stages, with Birchwood and the eventual winner in behind him. In the
closing stages, when the race opened up, Limato pulled clear. He won by three lengths. Karar
was second. Suedois was third a length back.

Henry Candy (trainer):
“The race went beautifully. He had a good leader, and was able to settle in his stride. He won
very easily! It's fantastic to train a horse like him, he gives you a reason to get up in the morning.
For his next race, we'll see how he comes out of this. The Breeder's Cup is a possibility, and
personally I prefer the Mile to the Sprint.”
KARAR (2nd)

“This second place is like a win behind a horse like Limato, who was really untouchable today.
Karar showed he's back to his good form, and in the morning, he's getting better and better every
day. He absolutely needs good ground. He has beautiful action on good ground. I had hoped he
could go in front today, despite his draw of 12, because looking at the other races today, it's very
hard to come from behind. What pleased me today was that even after he was headed by Limato,
Karar didn't give up and kept fighting on.”
