The nation’s high economic performance stems from effective economic management and ongoing structural reform. It also has a competitive and dynamic private sector and a skilled, flexible workforce. An important factor contributing to Australia’s ability to maintain low inflation with high growth has been the economy’s productivity performance. Since 1990, Australia’s productivity has been growing at an average annual rate of over 2.3 per cent. This has been one of the fastest-growing productivity rates in the OECD—above the average of 1.8 per cent. inn ova tio n e r u ult Agricultural sector Agriculture in Australia a major industry, 402 000 people are employed in agriculture and agriculture related services, and agriculture accounts for approximately 3% of Australia’s GDP (gross domestic product). Australia produces a wide variety of crops and livesock, 80% of all agricultural production is exported. They modify some crops genetically. Challenges to the future of Australian agriculture include developing sustainable water management strategies for a drought prone environment, combating dryland salinity, and the decision to grow, or not to grow genetically modified foods. milk, barley, lambs, poultry meat, wine grapes, sugarcane, pigs and rapeseed. His brother, Angus, was in the band when he was only fifteen. His sister adviced him that he could dress as a school boy during the shows, and she suggested him the name of the band because she saw it on a vacuum cleaner. Angus and Malcom played the guitars, Mark Evans the bass, Phil Rudd the drums and Bon Scott was the singer. They recorded two CDs in Australia: “High Voltage” and “TNT”. Next year Cliff Burton became the new bassist and they recorded “Powerage” and “Let there be Rock”. After that, they did a lot of shows with famous groups as Black Sabbath, Van Halen, Alice Cooper, Scorpions... But the CD that made them become famous was “Highway to Hell”. When they were at their peak, their singer, Bon Scott died while he was throwing up because he drank too much. Then Brian Johnson became the new singer recording “Back in Black”, one of the most famous CDs in the 80s. It was dedicated to Bon Scott. After that they recorded “For Those About Rock”. It was a great CD but not as good as “Back in Black”. Since “Flick Of The Switch” the group began to record worse CDs, till the 90s with “Ballbreaker” and “Stiff Upper lip”. There is a street in Madrid, Leganés called AC/DC .Angus and Malcom came to the opening, with lots of fans hoping to see them. The sign of the street was stolen many times till the town hall made many copies to be sold. This fact appears on the movie “Isi/Disi, Amor a lo Bestia”. This movie is about two friends (Florentino Fernandez y Santiago Segura) who are AC/DC´s fans and they have a band where they play AC/DC songs. Miguel Ángel García González 20 S4B Join us/ Tu Nous Rejoins Nº21 A dream... lia Austra WE SHALL OVERCOME ONE DAY L ast night, while I was sleeping trying to escape from human miseries that I have ever seen in the mornings, I dreamt that I was a kangaroo jumping happily without bigger worries. I went together with my friends the kangaroos through the fields. It was a nice day, the small flowers were smiling at the sun, and the birds, grateful for its shine and warm, were warbling loudly. Under the arch of heaven we ate fresh grass and drank from transparent streams and after that, we played for a long time in an earthily paradise. The small kangaroo babies were sleeping peacefully in their punch while their mums were talking; and at this precise moment, when I was watching the simplicity of that animal species, I knew humans lacked big things. Suddenly, my thoughts were interrupted by a thunder in the distance. Over the trees I saw nervous birds flying away. A big cloud of smoke darkened the sun at it made the flowers cry. The strong noise killed the birds in my heart. After a few minutes some brilliant cars and metal motorbikes invaded that field and they began to run speedily. The despair took possession of us and we ran frightened trying to escape. The sadness was reflected in our wet eyes… Run, kangaroo of my dreams, run… even when you don’t know what’s going on…
