02/22/2013 NAJ '13: Haven't been to SD. They met with Michelle Thomson earlier in the day. Works with MICE from China-dictated by
consumer demand. Need knowledge of SD. Many Chinese have perception of solely Mt. Rushmore-need to overcome. Wu Yang
knows the best destinations are hidden-trying to educate clients on "hidden gems." Difficult to target SD specifically now because
groups are primarily interested in cities. Brought up proximity of Denver (NP tour) and Minneapolis. Send GTP (electronic if
possible)-scan mileage matrices and send. In addition to cities, Yellowstone is an easy sell for them and they anticipate that
interest to move towards the Black Hills soon. ***VERY IMPORTANT FOR SD PRODUCT-They need step-on gudies who can
speak Chinese. Pointed out that traveling to the area is nice but not having a Chinese-speaking guide makes it impossible for
them to learn about the area and thus, fully experience it.
