Premier tournoi européen de la prestigieuse catégorie des ATP World
Tour Masters 1000, le Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters a lieu tous les ans, au
printemps, sur la terre battue du prestigieux Monte-Carlo Country Club.
Organisée par la SMETT (Société Monégasque pour l’Exploitation du
Tournoi de Tennis), 110 ans d’histoire dans ses annales, la manifestation
fait l’événement et marque pour la Principauté le début de la belle saison et de son calendrier de réjouissances sportives et culturelles. Un
tournoi où le tennis se joue au plus haut niveau mondial, avec la présence de nombreuses têtes de série dans la compétition : Zeljko Franulovic, son directeur, perpétue l’esprit du Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters
Club avec panache. « Je tiens à remercier une nouvelle fois l’ensemble
des joueurs pour leur fidélité et leur attachement au tournoi, qui offrent
à nos spectateurs de belles rencontres pour le plus grand plaisir de
tous », rappelait-il lors de la présentation de l’édition 2016 de cette
grande fête du tennis.
The first European tournament in the prestigious ATP World Tour Masters 1000 category, the Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters takes place each
year in the spring on the clay courts of the magnificent Monte-Carlo
Country Club. Organized by the SMETT (Société Monégasque pour l’Exploitation du Tournoi de Tennis) with 110 years of history to its credit,
the tournament is a major event which marks the start of the high season in the Principality with its agenda of sports and cultural festivities.
A tennis tournament which is played at the highest international level,
with the participation of many top seeds in the running. Zeljko Franulovic, its Director, perpetuates the spirit of the Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters
Club with panache. "Once again, I would like to thank all the players for
their loyalty and devotion to the tournament, providing our spectators
with some very fine encounters for their enjoyment," said Mr. Franulovic,
when presenting the 2016 edition of this great celebration of tennis.
