IV refund policy. All financial aid is earned
through student attendance. Any financial aid
that is returned due to poor attendance is the
responsibility of the student.
5. Enrollment time is defined as the time elapsed
between the actual starting date and the date of
the student’s last day of physical attendance in
the school. Any monies due to the applicant or
student shall be refunded within 45 days of official
cancellation by the student as defined in item 2, or
formal termination by the school, which shall occur
no more than 15 days from the last day of physical
attendance. In the case of a leave of absence, the
documented date of return or the date the student
notifies the school they will not return.
6. Date of termination for computation purposes is the
last day of physical presence in the school.
7. In case of illness or disabling accident, death in the
immediate family, or other circumstances beyond
control of the student, the school makes a settlement
which is reasonable and fair to both.
8. If a school is permanently closed and no longer
offering instruction after a student has enrolled,
the student shall be entitled to a pro-rata refund of
tuition.
9. If a course is cancelled subsequent to a student’s
enrollment but prior to the start of training, the school
shall at its option:
a. Provide a full refund of all monies paid, or
b. Provide completion of the course
10.If the student has started training and the course is
cancelled, the student’s refund will comply with the
tuition adjustment schedule stated above in Item 4.

Board of Cosmetology and Hairstyling.

any reason are considered unexcused absent hours and
an additional $7.00 per hour may be charged for each
absent hour over the allowed 10%. We do however,
recognize extenuating circumstances and will consider a
written request for removal of unexcused absent hours
with proper documentation. Make-up time is always
offered and encouraged at the institute.
Optional methods of payment are explained in the
above mentioned Tuition Payment Plan form (see insert,
page 5). You may also be eligible for financial aid when

RECORDS OF PROGRESS AND ATTENDANCE
Each student’s progress and attendance is kept through
daily records. Capri students strive for 90% attendance.
To maintain satisfactory academic progress each student
must average at least 67.5% attendance. You will be
permitted 4 lates each month which are considered
absent hours. Any absence for illness or personal reason
can be made up during designated make-up schedule.
Prolonged absences could effect your graduation and
a leave of absence may be necessary. In this case
you may present your circumstances to the office for
administrative approval. To ensure these standards, we
offer continual individualized instructions and support.
Student Records
Records and transcripts are made available upon request
only after written permission is given from students over
18 or from parents or guardians of minor or dependent
students. However, student records can be released
without written permission for legal or accreditation
purposes only. Students may gain access to their files
by requesting information from the Associate Director.
This request may be either oral or written. The Associate
Director guides you during each file review.
