SOLICITATION QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
This solicitation Questions and Answers is raised to:
Provide answers to bidders’ questions in relation to the RFP as detailed in Section 1 below.
Section 1
Q1: Is the GTAA License needed, what will be the cost and will it reimbursed?
A1: GTAA Licence fee will be reimbursed.
Q2: On Page 11, RT2 indicates “…Operation Coordinator’s experience:” then again on Page 12, RT3
indicates “…Operation Coordinator’s experience:”. I assume that either RT2 or RT3 is meant to be the
Senior Operations Officer. Which one is the Operation Coordinator and which is the Senior Operations
Officer?
A2: RT3 is meant to say “Senior Operations Officer”
Q3: Does DFATD have parking spaces at GTAA?
A3: DFATD does not have parking spaces at GTAA
Q4: If dignitaries are being driven by consular vehicles, where do the consular vehicles park and wait?
A4: The successful contractor will liaise with the GTAA for each event to seek
permission/information as to available waiting areas/spaces for diplomatic vehicles as well as
drop-off or pick-up area information. The GTAA is the authority for all parking and vehicle access.
Q5: If dignitaries are being driven by a limousine service, where does the limousine service park and
wait?
A5: There is a limousine compound area.
Q6: Is there parking for the greeters at the GTAA? And if no, does DFATD pay for parking and if yes, how
do we budget that if the hours at the airport range from 2.5 – 9?
A6: There is no parking designated for greeters at GTAA and DFATD does not cover their parking
costs. Greeters park at their own expense or if they are in diplomatic vehicles, see Q4 response.
Q7: What level of foreign dignitary is granted courtesy CBSA clearance? And is it just the dignitary, or
their entire entourage that receives the clearance?
A7: A number of foreign dignitaries are eligible for customs clearance. A comprehensive list will
be provided to the successful bidder. Delegation members arriving with the dignitary are included
in arrival courtesies.
Q8: What level of foreign dignitary is granted TC/CATSA security screening bypass? And is it just the
dignitary, or their entire entourage that receive the bypass?
A8: A number of foreign dignitaries are eligible for TC security screening exemption. A
comprehensive list will be provided to the successful bidder. Delegation members departing with
the dignitary will be treated as part of the entourage as on arrival, however they must submit to TC
security screening (some exceptions will apply).
Q9: : I have no experience in applying to tenders with the government of Canada and was wondering if
any help or information is provided to one on how to go about doing so.
