(Halle/Westfalen, 9 August 2012) GERRY WEBER and the JOSEF SEIBEL Group are combining their
core competencies and, together, they are launching GERRY WEBER SHOE COLLECTION. GERRY
WEBER International AG concluded an exclusive licensing agreement with JOSEF SEIBEL Schuhfabrik

GmbH, based in Hauenstein (Germany), as of 1 August 2012. The licence includes the production and
worldwide sale of the shoe collection under the GERRY WEBER brand.
In the GERRY WEBER and the JOSEF SEIBEL Group, two key international players of the German shoe and
fashion sector are entering into a long-term strategic partnership. The launch of the first shoe collection is
planned for the Autumn/Winter season 2013.
With this licensing agreement with JOSEF SEIBEL, GERRY WEBER is achieving a unique brand placement
for GERRY WEBER SHOES. True to the guiding principle “Fashion meets Comfort”, GERRY WEBER shoes,
like the company’s fashion collection, combine the highest standards in comfort, quality and fit with a modern
design. The shoe collection is constantly oriented towards the latest trends and is perfectly coordinated with
the GERRY WEBER fashion collection.
Josef Seibel Schuhfabrik GmbH is one of the world’s leading companies in the fashion/comfort shoe segment.
“We have searched for a long time to find the perfect partner for our vision of the right GERRY WEBER shoe.
We were not willing to make compromises here. We wanted a shoe which is comfortable but which also
highlights the fashionable orientation of our collection. A fashion brand with comfort – that makes us unique in
