The 8 North German Passive House Conference (8. Norddeutsche Passivhauskonferenz) entitled
th
"Efficient Buildings 2016" will take place on Thursday, the 29 of September 2016 in Kiel. As the
leading regional conference on highly energy-efficient buildings, the North German Passive House
Conference has become as the annual attraction for more than 250 visitors and 20 exhibitors from
Germany and Northern Europe since 2009. Thus, it is the forum for politics, administration, industry,
planners and housing industry.
The use of renewable energy, a minimum energy requirement in new construction and in particular a
significant energy demand reduction in existing buildings are key issues on the way to a carbonneutral building sector. Energy-efficient construction is further discussed in politics in terms of multiple
aspects. Relevant efficiency measures in new buildings and retrofitting as well as the various energy
efficient building standards from active and passive houses to efficiency houses plus to zero-emission
houses play an important role in the energy and heat transition.
Take the opportunity and show North Germany your commitment to energy-efficient construction!
