SUMMARY
This study was carried out to establish an effective operating plan on double train pump seawater
supply system for open rack vaporizers. A computer program has been developed to exactly solve this
open circuit system by using the modified linear theory method. It was applied to two cases, the
opened and closed common lines. As a result, the latter case was greater 12% of total quantity of
seawater sending from pumps than that of the former and the cost of power was lower than about
2.5%. It directly had an effect on savings of ￦9,000/h per ORV at least. The priority order of pumps
was determined by comparing power costs for each case and that of ORVs also done by evaluating
the unit cost of supplied seawater.

SYSTEME DU TRAIN DOUBLE DE POMPES ALIMENTANT L'EAU DE
MER POUR LES REGAZEIFIEURS A RUISSELLEMENT
RESUME
Cette étude a été effectuée pour établir un plan d’opération efficace sur le système du train
double de pompes alimentant l’eau de mer pour les regazéifieur à ruissellement(ORV).
Un
programme informatique a été développé pour résoudre le système du circuit ouvert en employant
une méthode de théorie linéaire modifiée. Il a été appliqué à deux cas: lignes communes ouvertes et
fermées. En conséquence, la quantité totale d'eau de mer déchargeant des pompes pour le dernier
cas est 12% plus élevée que celle pour le premier cas et le coût de puissance est d’environ 2,5% plus
bas. Il Cela correspond une réduction de ￦9,000/h au moins par ORV. L'ordre de priorité des
pompes a été déterminé en comparant des coûts du courant pour chaque cas et ceux également faits
en évaluant le prix unitaire d'eau de mer fournie.
