Bought the WinCE 6.0 Car DVD GPS Player with reversing
camera, really good product, stereo was easy to connect and
set up, camera works great and cable was long enough for my T4
van. Radio has good reception and everything does what it says
on the tin. very happy with the stereo overall, at this price
you cant go wrong.

So I bought this Pumpkin head unit for my 1980s classic sports
car. Looks great has a clean look to it and reminiscent of
“Becker Mexico” (in my imagination) so looks better than the
original 1980s stereo.
Reversing camera was easy to fit but a little confusing to
connect But nothing got damaged during my efforts (but I am
relatively competent)
Sat nav is pretty good and so is reversing camera – the two
main reasons for wanting to install this for me
You can set up your own wall papers – you need to store them
on the Nav card not the card in the spare SD slot
Couldn’t get the boot up screen to work at all – never seems
to need it… (don’t know what that’s all about, there is no
boot up time)
Quality and finish pretty good.
You can set the screen angle to 1 of 3 positions – you need to
cycle through them with a button. It then remembers. Trouble
is when first powered up it defaults to vertical not tilt
forward so if you have an installation that leans the screen
back so that it hits some part of the dashboard you have to
slide the unit in after you’ve set up the screen angle forward
and every time it then looses power you have to repeat. not
normally a problem but something to be aware of – doesn’t seem
to mash things when it happens the screen just closes after it
hits the dash

Navigation
Bedienung:
Zuerst einmal zum abnehmbaren Bedienteil der Pumpkin 1 Din
Autoradio.Auf ihm befinden sich zwei Knöpfe, und zwei
Drehregler die zusätzlich noch gedruckt werden können. Der
linke Drehregler reguliert die Lautstärke. Drückt man diese
Taste wechselt man in den Lautlos Modus. Der rechte Drehregler
ist für die Bedienung der Quelle. Zum Beispiel nächster
Radiosender, nächstes Lied auf dem USB Stick. Drückt man diese
Taste wechselt man die verschiedenen Quellen (Radio, USB1,
USB2, SD, CD, usw.). Weiters kann Musik über die Bluetooth
Funktion abgespielt werden. Die Kopplung passiert kinderleicht
und selbst bei weiteren Verwendungen lassen sich das iPhone
und der Radio sehr einfach über einen Knopfruck (entweder am
Radio oder am iPhone) verbinden. Der rechte Knopf auf dem ein
Standort Zeichen abgebildet ist kann während der Navigation
verwendet werden. Bei Knopfdrückt wechselt man zum Navi. Bei
erneuten Knopfdruck wechselt man zurück zur Quelle von welcher
die Musik gerade abgespielt wird. Der rechte Knopf ist für das
Ausfahren und die Neigung des Displays zuständig.
Zum Display lässt sich mal sagen, dass die Verbreitung
makellos scheint. Der Display drückt sich sehr angenehm und
der Touchscreen nimmt fast jede Berührung war. Jedoch kann es
schon mal vorkommen, dass man die eine oder andere Taste des
Öfteren drucken muss. Auf die Bedienung selbst möchte ich nun
nicht explizit eingehen, da dies sehr gut im Video
dokumentiert wird. Insgesamt ist die Bedienung sehr
benutzerfreundlich und alle wichtigen Funktionen sind
vorhanden.
Navigationssoftware:
Die Navigationssoftware ist meines Erachtens nach sehr einfach
aufgebaut und bringt einem sicher an jedem Ort. Die Navigation
ist sehr präzise und sagt einem den Weg ausreichend früh an.
Am rechten Bildschirmrand wird einem immer die nächste
Kreuzung angezeigt. Einziges Manko hierbei ist, dass das
Deutsch manchmal sehr gebrochen ist. Doch dies ist für mich
kein Problem da ich vom ihm nur erwarte das es mich an den
richtigen Ort leitet. Die Zeitangabe stimmt meistens sehr
genau überein.
Musik:
Der Sound ist meiner Meinung nach gleich gut wie bei meinem
vorigen Markenmodell einem Pioneer Autoradio. Weiters kann man
sehr einfach den Bass, die Höhe und weitere Eigenschaften über
Schieberregler in den Einstellungen eingestellt werden. Über
einen anderen Einstellungspunkt kann in einem graphischen
Cockpit die Lautstärke der verschiedenen Boxen modifiziert
werden (z.B.: linke vordere Box lauter als rechte hintere
usw.)
Weiter Details:
‘ Aufgrund der anderen Rezension von 16. Januar 2016 achtete
ich auch auf ein Brummen. Jedoch konnte ich keines
feststellen. Nicht einmal auf Lautstärke 1 oder 0 konnte ich
eines war nehmen.
‘ Sehr schön finde ich die Freisprechfunktion. Meine
Gesprächspartner die ich über den Radio angerufen habe meinten
alle, dass sie mich klar und deutlich verstehen. Jedoch merkt
man trotzdem dass es sich um eine Freisprecheinrichtung
handelt. Wahrscheinlich liegt das an den externen Mikrofon
welches ich jedem empfehle zum verlegen.
Leider konnte ich die DVB-T Funktion nicht testen da es in
meiner Gegend in Österreich keinen DVB-T Empfang gibt.
Im Großen und Ganzen bin ich vom Pumpkin Autoradio GPS 1 din
sehr überzeugt. Der Einbau dauerte ca. 4 Stunden und war für
mich als Anfänger kein Problem. Jedoch braucht man ein
gewisses technisches Grundwissen, welches ich aus HTL Schüler
mitbringe, um zum Beispiel das Dauerplus oder das Plus der
Zündung herauszufinden. Der Einbau mit dem mitgelieferten
Einbaurahmen funktioniert sehr einfach. Auch die Anpassung die
ich durchgeführt habe lief ohne Probleme ab. Die Bedienung ist
super und Ich konnte bis heute noch keine Schwachpunkte.
